Service was poor. Did not inform groom that my size was no longer available. Assistant manager sounded as though he didn’t want to make shipping effort to their store to make it available for me to purchase. No messages for 4 days even after I provided contact info. So I called. Manager didn’t know the update too. Gave my information again. Still no update for the next few days. Contacted them again. Told me they couldn’t do it because it was under the amount of pants in order to ship to their store. So now we’re on a pursuit to buy another pant and the other groomsmen has to return theirs because my size wasn’t available either online. Went to go pick up my vest the next few days. Staff didn’t bother to ask me if they could help and just looked at me. I had to ask if they were available to help, since all I needed was a pick up. Understandable that the lady was tied to helping the family that was already still trying on some clothes, but the gentleman didn’t even look at me afterwards. I wasn’t in a rush and even told the both of them that I can wait, standing behind the family, but didn’t want to look as though I was shopping around when I intended to pick up an item only. A third person had to come ask me what I needed. I would say communication is key with updates, for when I was shopping for the pant. Eye contact and communicating to me than just talking to each other and leaving me stand there awkwardly when I asked if anyone was available to help, when I was picking up my vest. Simple gestures would’ve been nice. I’m not expecting to be treated like a king. Just some respect is all. I could’ve just shopped elsewhere, but was under the groom’s style for the wedding. Judging from other reviews on here, I won’t be going to this MW location if I have to shop...
Read moreIt's hard to express how frustrating it was using Men's Wearhouse for my wedding. We received a coupon for Men's Wearhouse from a wedding show we went to that was supposed to give us some pretty good discounts, which is why we went to Men's Wearhouse. They refused to honor the coupon and instead applied one that was supposed to give the groom a free Tux rental. The thing is, I bought my Tux, not rented, so the coupon didn't apply. We talked to multiple people about getting the coupon applied, but in the end it wasn't accepted.
That was frustrating in and of itself, but then came time for the suits to actually arrive. Despite having all my groomsmen measured months in advance, per Men's Wearhouse policy, three of the six had incorrect sizes on their rentals. These issues were not small either, it seems like Men's Wearhouse just eyeballed my groomsmen and then picked what they had available for them. My groomsmen are all fairly average size too, so this shouldn't have been that difficult. We had to go back multiple times in the final two days before my wedding to get the right sizes, an issue exacerbated by the fact that Men's Wearhouse does not let you pick up suits more than three days before your event.
Between the coupon issues and hitting on 50% of their measurements, I absolutely was not impressed with my Men's Wearhouse experience and would not...
Read moreI dropped in on the Men's Warehouse in Eagan because, shocking, I need a new suit, and also a new pair of shoes (so I was visiting the DSW next door, haha, killing two birds with one stone).
The MW is extremely convenient to both 35E and 494 in the newish Eagan Commons area. There is an enormous parking lot out in front of the store/strip mall.
It is a very large store, with many suits available for purchase or rental. Beth, the manager of the store, was SUPER helpful and friendly, and showed me around the store, spending as much time with me as I wished.
We discussed the options for a new suit, and concentrated on a tailored, made-from-scratch specialty suit for me. There's a range of pricing, and fabrics. All starting at around $1,000 for the made-from-scratch. Tailoring is available, with about a one month turn-around. I was impressed that the custom suits are "built" in the USA, somewhere out on the East Coast. Great!
The store offers extensive rentals too, and clearly this is where a lot of their business comes from (proms, weddings, etc).
Although I have decided to go in another direction/store for my business suit needs, Men's Wearhouse in Eagan was a close second for me. Close, convenient, excellent staff, tailoring...
