Worst fast food place I’ve ever been to. My family wanted to try it out and my grandmother has a seafood allergy so she got a bowl with chicken. We asked the staff if any of the ingredients might be cross contaminated with anything and they assured us none of the food was cross contaminated. The little girl who assured us was very short, had glasses, and had a very high pitched/soft voice for your information. Should’ve never trusted her word because half way into my grandmother eating her bowl, she couldn’t breathe and had a severe reaction. We had to take her to the emergency room right away. Such a traumatic experience all because a little teenager lied to us. So utterly unbelievable. I have NEVER experienced something like this. Clearly the food was in fact cross contaminated or they don’t wash their dishes properly. No restaurant should be putting their customers in danger like this. This is extremely concerning and unacceptable. I’ve never once had to write a bad review about any restaurant/company but I need to share my concerns so this never happens again to someone else. Overall the experience was horrible and we didn’t even get greeted. The atmosphere was very depressing with the staff clearly showing they don’t want to be there and not caring about the customers and their safety. I wonder who runs this place because they’re clearly not doing a good job and this place is going to get shut down one day if they continue to disregard food safety precautions. If I could rate this place 0 stars, I would. The food didn’t even taste fresh and it’s a very small portion for how expensive it is. Definitely not worth the price. Please don’t waste your time, money, and energy coming here. There’s way better poke places. Please stay safe out...
Read moreDo you like sushi? If so, you’re going to LOVE poke. It’s essentially sushi in a bowl. For the uninitiated, it operates similar to Chipotle — you pick a base like rice or salad, add your choice of protein (they have around 16 to choose from), then top it off with a nice assortment of vegetables, sauces, and toppings. They also have a dozen premade combinations, if you prefer to not pick all of your own ingredients. You can expect to spend somewhere between $13 and $20 per bowl, but it is for some of the freshest and tastiest counter service food available, and even considering the prices, the portion sizes are generous. (I never leave hungry.)
For a place that does umami foods better than just about anywhere else, the atmosphere is decidedly sterile. It’s not a place to get cozy and hang out. It is impeccably clean and well lit though.
We have visited a couple of locations of this chain, and the staff have been without exception, very friendly and helpful and efficient.
Overall, I recommend Hawaii Poké Bowl — we’ve left every visit...
Read moreWhat a horrible experience. First time here, I don’t think I’ll be back. The lady this shift 9/14 around 7-8pm , didn’t get her name was super rude to her employee and customers. I had no idea where the trash was where we would grab utensils and napkins. I saw a trash bag sticking out of the drawing thinking it was trash (like how we have in our homes and you had to pull the drawer out.) She shouted “trash is right over there” all irritated at me. I barely even opened it, pushed it closed right away. I was startled. And as I walk to the other side to toss the trash, she goes to the table with utensils, opens and slams the drawers shut. Breaking the cabinet door. Mind you I had two kiddos with me- and they were confused why the anger of that worker. And why she broke it. If you don’t like working there, please find a new job or be more friendly. What an awful experience for us and my kiddos. Made the environment so unwelcoming. No smile, no welcome in, no have a good day. Just all rushed,...
