I had a horrid experience in this GameStop. I lined up outside of the building since 7:30 am for a Pokémon drop with me friend- both of us had taken off work for it. We made friends in the line, and all was well until about 10:55, 5 minutes before opening. A guy was asking questions and was hanging out- not going to buy any product. I guess Courtney assumed he was cutting in line. I was screamed at "Yellow hoodie and blue shirt leave the line." with no reasoning as to why, the surrounding 6 people in line defending me to no avail. I attempted to ask what I had done wrong when I got inside, and was met with quite possibly the loudest screaming, and the heaviest mistreatment from Courtney. She said "I told you you weren't getting anything, get out." Again, about 6 people loudly defended me as I was waiting four hours for this drop and had been passing out cards to the kids who weren't supposed to get ETB's due to the 2 item per sku limit (A corporate policy- which they ALSO didn't follow, and changed it to 1 item period of your choice.) She told someone about an hour and a half later that I was trying to scalp, untrue as I was passing out hits to kids in line and was showing people my binder. Furthermore, when my friend got inside, he attempted to buy an ETB. She told him; "You defended her, you are lucky to get anything." and only sold him 1 sticker pack, when if you got a sticker pack there, the limit was two. I cannot explain the lack of professionalism and the mistreatment I received for a managers lack of communication and assumption. Being degraded and embarrassed in front of everyone I had spent hours making friends with should not happen. Read moreI ordered my son a ninetendo switch in Dec of 2023 online to be shipped to my house. I received an email that that it would arrive after Christmas and if I ordered it for pick up I could get it before the holiday. I cancelled the order and immediately reordered it online for pick up at the Downingtown store. It did arrive before the holiday. Additionally, I paid extra for an extended warranty on the game console. Fast forward to March 2024. The blue and red controllers weren't pairing and he could not play any games. In March I went to the West Chester store about the issue. I was there for over 2 hours. My acct shows the purchase and return online. So the store does not believe I made a purchase and will not honor the warranty. West Chester store made me buy new controllers for 84.00 plus tax. And took the original controllers. I was told the controllers are not covered by the warranty. Issue still existed with the new ones. I then went to the Downingtown store in April. For the same issue. They were more helpful then West Chester, they paired thr controllers, suggested I purchase the game stop membership card, which I did, but soon after I left the issue started again. Finally, in May or June I stopped at the Exton store. Another 2+ hours there. The store clerk did not believe I purchased the game because of my acct history of a purchase and return and purchase again. He asked me to show him proof of purchase and would not honor my warranty. I will NEVER deal with this company. I am out of so much money and time I can't get back. They refuse to honor my warranty or correct my account. Read moreI walked into this GameStop after 8pm looking for merch from one of my favorite video games. I had one goal and one goal only. Secure merch, pay then leave. Until i met Sam and Matt. Matt was the first to greet me and was very helpful right off the bat. Kind, knowledgeable and helpful in every way. THEN i got talking to Sam. Sam is a worker that obviously loves her job and cares that the customers that come into the store get exactly what they need. Sam went above and beyond and connected with me on levels passed just video games. She helped me feel comfortable about signing up for a yearly plan which was something i hadn't even thought about before entering the store.
