The Home Depot in Downingtown was a great place to work for me. The HR department celebrates events all year. Sometimes it's lunch or dinner for appreciation, on Holidays The menu is upgraded and they usually have like ham and then something else. Very good dinners. Very good lunches whatever and they also on this holidays they give out prizes mother's Day Father's Day Valentine's Day throughout the year. It's great! It really brings the store workers together. They also celebrate top employees every month, quarter, and at the end of the year. They are the best at making your job include fun activities, and make you feel appreciated! I made many lifetime friends and it's all due to the family feel you get there. They inspire workers to be willing to go the extra mile.And like you work in a big family. Very friendly nice employees who help each other when needed. Many benefits for customers as well! It’s Home Depot. It’s bigger than most of the Home Depot’s in the region no complaints. I like going there. I can literally spend hours a day looking at stuff that I want, but I’m not gonna pay for so also you can go up to Parkesburg, which is believe it or not it’s close as they are. It’s a whole different region so sometimes the prices in Parksburg will be like 5% cheaper The only complaint I have about this is they used to have professionals like an electrician or a plumber in the electrical and the plumbing section they can tell you all kind of tips and everything you needed to know they kind of got rid of them and don’t pay them so now you got rookies there they don’t know nothing and they just go. Home Depot always has what I'm looking for, BUT the Blinds/Shades Dept needs help, so slow, takes a long time to get your order through. We once had an awful Installer for our kitchen tile (unfortunately, he could not speak a word of English so very hard to communicate). He had no interest in communicating either and just spoke on cell phone during half the job. It's still looks terrible. You don't have to look closely to see the inferior job.
