Their delivery guys broke my water heater!
I moved to a new apartment and purchased a Bosch dishwasher and Samsung Fridge. Two random guys showed up to deliver the fridge. They had to remove my old fridge and while they did it they pulled the hose that connected to the water heater and broke the stop valve. There was water going everywhere. Instead of telling me how bad of a damage it was so I could immediately call a plumber they just shut off my main water without telling me and told me to fix the water heater shut off valve and call BestBuy back. They said it was something simple, no need to rush. Only hours later when I came back home and was about to shower I found out they had shut off my water. This was the day before Thanksgiving, I had to call over 20 plumbers until I found out one that could come over. At this point the water heater was leaking and smelling like smoke. I paid $1,000 cash to have a new one installed.
I rescheduled the delivery and when the 2 delivery guys showed up I told them what happened so they could be careful but then they were too scared to install the ice maker and simply told me to call/pay for a plumber to instal it (it was included on the best buy delivery fee but they refused to instal).
The dishwasher was delivered separately and they were having some sort of quality inspection so 2 guys from the corporate office were watching the delivery guys work. Andrew Zirbel was one of them. I told him everything that happened and he gave me his contact so he could assist me getting in touch with the insurance. I emailed him on November 29 2018, he promptly responded and copy someone named Ryan Pitlick that was supposed to help too. On the next day Liena Cabrera from BestBuy contact me saying that she had opened a claim and someone from the insurance would contact me soon. On December 3r Nicole Drews-Ringstrom emailed me saying Best Buy hired NAL to perform the delivery/install and they were working on the case and would reach out to me. That was the end of it. I emailed Liena and Nicole a few times to let them know I haven't heard from anyone and they just stopped answering. Horrible customer service!!
Their delivery guys broke my water heater, it took 3 deliveries until everything was installed, there was a lot of different employees promising they were going to help me get a refund for what I spent fixing their mistake and none of them...
Read moreBought my son a Meta Quest 2 VR set WITH the extra Geek Squad Accident Protection Plan for Christmas. The controller broke and we made an appt and took it in to geek squad, where I was told to take it to checkout and they would replace the system. Well, I went to the front and they attempted to start a return. After taking 45 min trying to find the serial number, they said they no longer have the Meta Quest 2 and all they could offer me was $317 store credit. To replace it, I would have had to pay $500+ for a Meta Quest 3 ($200 more than my store credit). If they no longer sell the Quest 2, they shouldn't offer additional protection plan that they can't honor. Wouldn't even refund my money so I could go buy a Meta Quest 2 elsewhere that did have it. Ended up telling them to forget it and left. So glad I drove an hour each way for such nonsense!! If you're considering buying a VR headset, dont bother with the protection plan, it does you no good!!! What a waste!!
Update In response to the Best Buy reply to my review - THE PROBLEM IS THE STORE CREDIT!! I paid $80 extra for a replacement plan that can't be honored! You want to offer me a store credit (minus my protection plan cost) to go towards buying the meta quest 3 which would cost $200+ MORE than my store credit!! Are they going to stop making the meta quest 3 next?? (Shady business practice to force people into spending more $ with them!!) Other stores like Walmart and Amazon still sell Meta Quest 2. If I got an actual refund instead of store credit, I could take my $ elsewhere to replace my current system instead of being forced into accepting a store credit and spending more money!! This protection plan is a rip off. Don't offer it for a product that can't be replaced! I drove 2 hours round trip yesterday and sat with my child for over an hour in store to get absolutely nowhere!! I will NEVER go to Best Buy again. I'll stick with GameStop, Amazon, etc. I don't want a store credit. I want a refund to go replace my child's meta quest with someone that actually has them. You would think that at my appointment with the geek squad, they would have known that I couldn't use my protection plan. Thanks for making my child think it was getting replaced and then disappointing him. I will NEVER spend another dollar...

Placed an order including a Mac mini, keyboard, and mouse early in the morning. Placed it at this store 1 hour away specifically because it was the only store that had my whole order in stock. 6PM rolled around and only the keyboard and mouse were ready for pick up. Called Best Buy and was informed I was okay to go pick up my order because it was showing 2 were left in the store and I had already paid for it so it was being held at the store for me. Reiterated that I did not want to drive an hour to the store if I wasn’t going to be able to get my whole order. Needless to say when I arrived at the store they could not locate the 2 they had in stock advising it’s likely a system glitch. Manager stated “ I hate when people call in because they connect you to someone working at home and they’re just looking at a screen”. When I expressed my disappointment as a result of the unorganized back warehouse, Warehouse personnel got defensive and sarcastic letting me know it “wasn’t a warehouse issue because they’ve been looking everywhere for it since the order was placed in the morning”
If I placed the order in the morning and by 6pm when I called customer service there was still 2 in stock and warehouse “can’t find them” it’s clearly a warehouse issue. Whether the inventory was logged incorrectly or the products were stored incorrectly. Still a warehouse discrepancy.
My options were “wait for another store to ship it to you” and the classic “ call corporate and file a complaint”
Really extremely disappointed with lack of customer service, customer experience ,and lack of professionalism from the manager and the warehouse personnel.
Not that it matters to them at this point, but a point to add is that I have been a Best Buy member for God knows how long, I am a Best Buy Plus member and also hold the Best Buy credit card. Will definitely be thinking about this expirience during my upcoming Black Friday and Christmas shopping as well as any future purchases. Will also be telling my friends and family not to shop Best Buy at this location.
If I could give it 0 stars I would. This type of experience makes sense why they have a...
