I used to love this Target, and I still do a lot of my shopping there because it is on my way home from work. I do think that the people in the pharmacy are both friendly and helpful. This part of my experience has remained consistent, and I am thankful for it.
Since reorganizing the store, shelves have been very unorganized. I don't mind that they changed it around, but some sections have just been quite messy. Today the bathrooms were awful. There was toilet paper and trash all over the floor.
The most inconsistent part of my experience has been the pickup ordering. I deal with chronic pain issues and occasionally use the pickup option on my worst days (maybe once every other month). I can still walk, but reducing the amount that I walk just on these days helps me to recover faster. The heat caused a considerable amount of pain, so I put together a small grocery run since I was already going to be out that way. The trainer made everyone in front of us, including me walk back through the store to pickup our order. I offered my empty cart to her hoping this would make it easier for her (as other associates seemed to appreciate this in the past), and she ignored me. This would not have bothered me as much but she complained about the fact that I got so much, and warned me that it would take her several trips even though we were literally right outside the door where the order was kept. It was 5-6 bags of mostly fruits and vegetables, cat food, and...
Read moreI was with a relative from another state when she purchased a keurig for us as a gift. Turns out, she got the wrong one so I went to exchange it. I didn't have her card and she didn't leave the receipt but I called ahead and the service desk said I should be fine.
When I arrived, I learned that I couldn't exchange an item over $50 without the card or receipt. I was pretty angry because I called ahead specifically to ask this and drove a decent amount of time to get there. Then, some older guy behind me started arguing with the clerk and making him recite their customer service sign and it turned into a hot mess. The clerk called the manager who said I could do the exchange that one time. When he tried to scan in the one I was exchanging, it would not scan and said it was because it wasn't purchased there. Again, I was pretty mad because I'm telling him I was there when it was purchased. The manager forced it through and I left with the new one they even gave me the promo deal for.
Later I learned my relative had decided to keep the one she bought for us and bought a 2nd one somewhere else that we ended up with and I felt terrible for putting them through so much trouble but absolutely certain of their A+ customer service. I will always shop at target if not for their social activism, selection of natural products, and prices, but also for their service in this...
Read moreTarget is my go-to for quality. Target itself is always a plus and the employees at both of the locations near me are super. It's the pharmacist at the Covered Bridge, Lancaster, PA location for CVS that is the problem. I was originally there to pick up my script from the in-house CVS. There was no line and I was clearly the only person standing at the counter waiting to be acknowledged. There was only the pharmacist behind the counter who saw me standing there for nearly 5 minutes before she came from the back to the front counter and said "can I help you". She didn't say hello, she didn't have a smile on her face. She never acknowledged my "paying customer" presence. Even when I kindly asked her to repeat herself when she did hand me my script and she said something that I didn't understand, she said it with a dull and unhappy tone. I don't know if this should be feedback for CVS but she never gave me a receipt for CVS b/c my insurance actually paid for my script and there was no charge for me. She lacked professionalism and could really learn from The Target employees. I ended up purchasing some random thing just so I could have a positive interaction with a Target employee instead of leaving with a negative...
