I have naturally curly hair, so I'm usually cautious about who handles it. I've been to this salon before and thought I'd give it another try because it's affordable. However, if you care about your hair, I strongly advise against going here. When I arrived, the atmosphere felt off, but I attributed it to post-holiday fatigue among the staff. The lady who washed my hair was incredibly kind I can’t remember her name though she was a Dominican lady , but the experience took a turn for the worse during the blow-drying and straightening process. The stylist, whose name might have been Jasmine or Jazz, had a very negative attitude. She spoke disrespectfully about her coworkers, left me in the chair multiple times to take phone calls, and even FaceTimed with me visible in the background while continuing to criticize her colleagues. The worst part was the physical discomfort; I should have spoken up, but I ended up in tears from the pain, and now I have scabs on my scalp. When it came time to pay, the usual charge is $75 with a card and $70 with cash. She attempted to charge me $85, assuming I was paying by card. I paid $70 without leaving a tip, which is unusual for me, but I won't be returning. Also she charged my mom $20 more than what she always paid she said she wouldn’t be returning either

I called before hand to make sure they were still seeing walk ins since was almost almost 3pm on a Saturday. He said sure come on in! I was so thankful because I had drove 45mins elsewhere to be told they didn’t have anymore room for walk-ins after I called ahead of time! There were 3 people ahead of me 1 in the chair and 2 getting their hair washed. Before I knew it I was at the shampoo bowel receiving the best hair washed of my life! 😂 If you know you know!! I also opt for a deep conditioning since I just removed a wig install. Literally waiting maybe about 15 mins after my finally rinse and I was next in the stylist chair. Where he gave me a much needed trim and add some fluffy curls! My hair already looks so much healthier! I’m excited the first salon didn’t work out this is my new place! Crazy part is he was a former stylist at Mena’s Hair Salon in Illinois that I was a faithful client at! What a small world as I am new to the Altanta area! 10 out of 10 highly recommend!

If I can give this place -1000 stars I would let’s just say this is nowhere near an Egyptian or Dominican hair salon.the lady who works in the front gave me attitude the moment I walked in ! They have people working in that shop who does not work there. I didn’t see any real license. I see licenses that they made. Also I asked for a deep condition. My hair was not deep condition when it was time to get my hair blow dry and flat iron she sprayed no heat spray. I had to tell her to spray heat protecting on my head And then she was burning my hair with the blow dryer. I smelled my hair burn. To the point where I didn’t even let her flat iron my. I got into the car and was told my hair smell like burnt. This is really really bad. I wouldn’t take my worst enemy here, please stay far away from this place. they even had a guy who worked at Olive Garden. They’re trying to wash people hair and people were declining his services.

This place taught me a hard lesson. Sometimes convenience cost more than you save. I started going here after someone posted a review. She was happy so I went to check it out. I appreciated the price and convenience of being able to go in and get a quick wash and style. At first, my hair looked great. A few months in to going to this place I started to notice that my naturally curly hair just hung straight after a shower - almost like it had been relaxed. but I never smelled any perm so I thought maybe my hair is changing with age.

on my next visit, when I got picked up, my Uber driver said she used to be a stylist and my hair looked like it was freshly permed. but I was hooked on the convenience so I went back again. big mistake. a couple days later my hair was standing straight up all over my head like static electricity. apparently my hair was so damaged it was trying to get away from itself :) - I joke to ease the pain.

before going here my hair hung below my shoulders. it was kinky and when I rocked my natural, my fro would kink up and stand all over my head. I wish I would have valued that more because now, it just hangs dead and damaged. it's barely at my shoulders now and i'll probably have to cut it again. I don't want to do the big chop but maybe will have to because it's so frazzled and frizzy it's hard to brush it. since I stopped going I can see a big difference in my new growth.

I have no proof that they use any chemicals in my hair but for sure there is heat damage. one of the things I liked about going there is that you can get seen without an appointment but you would get different stylist every time. Now, the lady in the first chair, Jasmine is her name I think, she's awesome. I felt like she paid attention to my hair and styled well. others in there willl be on their phone the whole time and just do whatever and too high temperature heat.

i've been natural for a long time. every now and again I want my hair pressed. I won't be going back here. I'll just have to pay these crazy atl prices at other places that actually focus on healthy hair.

the people are nice. the service is cheap and quick. but my hair did not...

I now see why this place is always empty. My hair turned out beautiful, but I have hair that reacts very very well to heat so I knew it would be pretty regardless. I have long, mid-back length hair that I grew myself with all of my juices and berry concoctions lol I go in to get a silk press and upon sitting in the shampoo bowl I was met with trepidation due to 1. I brought my own products and 2. my hair needs to be kept wet whilst combing- which btw you should be doing for all African hair but I digress. The shampoo gentleman was sweet and funny, he understood after a while and it was a pleasant experience....... until my "stylist" (brown skinned lady with a ring in her lip/mouth area) started and literally ripped much of my hair out after arguing with me about keeping MY hair wet while combing.. why do they want to argue??? She was rude and continue to go back and forth with me! Why? My regular stylist (at another salon) was busy, but I will start booking way early to avoid these types of places. The gentleman George was sweet, and had to redirect the women about what I wanted in my own hair. Why are ya'll mad?? Actually I know why, but dont allow your personal feelings or bias determine your level of professionalism. It's embarrassing for you, really. Buyer beware! If you are not blessed with healthy thick long hair then you may have an easier time, but my experience is always the same at these kinds of places. Go to Speak Natural Salon in East Point instead (right down...

Please tell me where can you go in this day and time as a walk in of a hair salon and get waited on immediately. I mean walk in the door, introduce yourself, ask for what you want done to your hair and boom you are led to the shampoo bowl. No sit down and wait. No let me see I have others in front of me. None of that. I took a chance on going to this salon on Friday morning. I was supposed to be there when they opened but I arrived at 9:45.

I had been looking around for another hair salon in my area and of course used Yelp and Google. I suggested this salon to my daughter and she has been coming here for a few months. I had not been myself though. What an experience. Tay washed my hair so good. It felt awesome. I got a deep conditioning treatment under the steamer. It was needed because my hair is natural and very hard. After that I sat under that dryer for a little while because my hair holds a lot of water.

Jazmine the stylist sectioned off my hair and blew dry it. She then did a quick trim of my ends. Next she sprayed it in preparation for a silk press. When I tell you she curled my air so fast. I was in awe because I have a lot of hair. My hair was silky smooth and bouncy with beautiful curls. I was out of there by 11:30. One hour and 45 minutes total. The absolute best. I will recommend this salon to everybody and they are open Monday and...
