This was, without a doubt, the most abysmal Target I have ever been to in my entire life.
Let's start with the location... let me ask you a question, have you ever been in a NASCAR race in a maze where all of the drivers are blindfolded? No? Well imagine that's what this locations' surrounding is. I swear not a single person knew what a stop sign or what a blinker was. While there was ample parking, we were cut off by someone who thought they were more deserving of the spot we were about to pull into, sorry to almost ruin your day, princess.
The outside of the store looks just like any other Target and the color scheme looks like Target's, but that's where the similarities end. Walking in the store, you're greeted by the most bizarre and unintelligible Target layout ever. Departments don't make any sort of sense. The grocery department is disgusting.
Are you looking for something in particular? Don't bother looking in the spot marked with the SKU. It's probably on the floor rolling around, in the beauty department I almost busted my ass because someone had decided that the floor was a great place for a round jar of nail polish. Who can blame them? Gravity always wins. If your item isn't where it should be, you can try another department where someone picked it up and dragged it around in their cart for a while only to decide not to buy it. It will probably be next to an empty food container.
The shelves are in disarray, random items are strewn everywhere like a battlefield. It's almost enough to give a war vet a bout of PTSD.
The good thing though, is there are lots of clearance items. I am convinced that this store is where Target corporate sends unsold items from better stores to die. It's like a clearance graveyard. A "Target outlet" if you will....
Once you find the thing you actually meant to buy, have checked their expiration date, and have fought your way through the obstacle course of random items on the floor, it's time to check out. Well you're in luck, because the staff is friendly, but you're going to have to wait 15 minutes for the person in front of you to haggle with the cashier at a retail store as if she can lower the price on anything. Oh, and don't expect the belts on any of the 2 out of the 15 registers that are actually open to function, so you're gonna just have to hand it to the cashier and hope she's gotten enough greens to keep her job.
PROS: Friendly staff. CONS: Everything...
Read moreI come to this location very often even before construction. I made a purchase of no more than one bag of groceries. One of the items that I purchased was a screen protector for the iPhone 14 Pro Max and it did not fit the phone because it was too small.
I didn't realize the screen protector was only for the iPhone 14 Pro because before that, I had to find the product by myself even after asking a nearby employee who then radioed an associate that was across the store. After arriving she told me: "There are more on the other side" then left. They have added around 4-6 new self checkouts which means 3 cashiers are gone.
These self checkout machines do record your purchase on the screen as well as your bagging. I did not get my change back from the machine, nor a receipt. I stood there looking back and forth at the screen for about 2 minutes because it read: "A Target employee will arrive very soon to help. Please wait."
There were numerous employees nearby, but I saw absolutely none of them looking near my self checkout. My change from the machine was +$0.59. After waiting for an employee that never came, I figured "I'll live." and left the store. Less than 10 minutes after my purchase, I was at the return center.
I was asked for my ID and my receipt. When I told the associate over the counter that I did not receive a receipt he told me that he would have to print one from the tech office. After waiting nearly an hour at the counter with no updates, nowhere to sit, and a phone ringing very frequently right next to me, I was furious. I kept my cool, but this inconvenience was absolutely outrageous.
Finally, the employee who left me waiting was finally back at the counter. I heard him talking to the manager standing next to him that he did not have the key to the office and they could not find it. He asked me "Cash or card" but at that point I could not care less. Waiting nearly an hour for a refund of ONE item I had purchased less than 10 minutes ago is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Target you have lost a loyal customer that has shopped at your store for 9...
Read moreI came into the store for my weekly Target run. I happened to notice that there were a few duplicate transactions on my receipt from the previous week. I went to guest services and asked was there anyway they could check if I had actually bought the items or if they were duplicates like I suspected. She said sure, our lost prevention staff could watch the cameras and take a look. When loss prevention came back out, they had a manager with them. His name was Trey. To find out, only one of my transactions was a duplicate. Trey preocedded to tell me that I wasted his time. They would not check the cameras for duplicate transactions again. And he said he doesn’t understand how I couldn’t remember what I had bought and what I didn’t buy. He made me feel like I was a criminal or a theft. I understand that everyone has a job to do. But the entire conversation began with me ASKING the Target team to let me know if all the transactions on my receipt were valid. If they didn’t have time, I would have appreciated them telling me that up front. I honestly felt ashamed and left the store without finishing up my grocery list. I am getting married in less than an month and work 70 hours a week. So I apologize if I can’t 100% remember everything that I bought on a target run. I request that situations similar to this be handled differently. The total cost of the items I inquired about wasn’t even $50.... if Target is willing to make a guest feel LESS THAN for such a small amount of money, I would hate to see how the corporation would react if they ASSUMMED more money was at stake. I am a committed Target shopper. And quite frankly, I do not know if I will return to the East Point Target. I will try my luck at Target Fayetteville or Target Douglasville. And I want to make sure I reiterate that there was an item that was scanned twice on my receipt. My suspicion was not...
