I attempted to patronize this business as I’ve seen really good reviews and wanted to check them out. Unfortunately parking was a mess the valet was unorganized with no directions I eventually self parked in a spot that was not marked as “valet” after waiting over 10 mins behind a car that had no one in it because the valet did not move the car. I walked inside and mentioned that I was in a party of two the hostess asked if I had reservations I told her no she said that there would be a 25 minute wait and I said that that was fine. I was told that they would text or call me when our table was ready. After about 30 minutes, I did not receive a text and I went inside to ask the hostess how much longer the wait would be. She stated that they had a table ready for us now and that we could be seated right away. We were placed at a table that was kind of in the middle of everything and smooshed next to some other patrons. we asked if there were any other seats available and she pointed to another table that was just as bad we settled with the initial table that she sat us at. After a few minutes, the waitress and a guy dressed in all black I’m assuming was a manager stated that they would need to move us because of the condensation above the table the roof was leaking and they didn’t want us to get wet. We were then moved to another table, which was actually much better. Our waitress was very nice. She asked us if this was our first time here and we told her yes, she did a great job explaining the menu and where to find certain items. We ordered coffee, and as we were waiting for the waitress to come back the coffees, the hostess approached us and asked who sat us at the table. we told her the waitress, and who we assumed was one of the manager moved us to this table. We then told that the table was reserved even though there was not a reserve sign on it and that we would need to move, she offered to move us to a chefs table however, I mentioned to her this is the second time that we were being asked to move, and that this was not a great experience. She then grabbed the menus on the table and said this is for a reserved guest and that they would have to sit us somewhere else. I told the hostess that this is not acceptable and I would like to speak to the manager, she just left the station and was having a conversation with someone who looked like another the manager. I saw them looking our direction, but never came to address the situation. The waitress then came with a coffee while we were standing and she also looked surprised and confused that we were standing at the hostess station. I mentioned to her that we were told that we had to move because the table they sat us at was reserved for another guest. We then left because clearly there is lack of communication with the front of the house, staff customers should not be asked to move multiple times at no fault of their own. I left their establishment and I went back to my vehicle. I was approached by two of the valet employees who asked me if “I spoke to anyone” I was confused and asked, spoke to anyone about what? And he said “about parking” I told him we did not eat and I’m leaving. I am assuming that they were attempting to charge me for the valet parking , even though I parked my own vehicle in a open spot with no valet signs. I eat out very often, especially for breakfast and brunch and I would have to say this was one of the WORTS experiences I’ve had while attempting to be a first-time customer of an...

As many know Atlanta is transforming into an international hub for all things culture and cuisine is no different. Now we have all grown to know and love brunch however we are always looking for the next “It Brunch Spot” & not many if any have truly hit the mark. I present Whisk, your new favorite elevated brunch destination. With close proximity to major interstates and the world’s busiest airport it’s the perfect place and easily accessible to all. Upon entering the atmosphere is divine. The aura of a restaurant or lounge is replaced with decadent white and gold furniture providing an intimate and cozy dining experience. The beautifully decorated touches like the unique photo area, the grass backed mirrors in the restrooms, even the lighting fixtures sets the atmosphere of a beautiful resort meets hobo chic, inviting all on its own. Yes there are neon signs, and no they are not gaudy. Overall the esthetic is whimsical and stimulating. The bar is modernly sophisticated with elegant glassware and beautiful white counters. And let’s not forget to mention the bar spans half of the restaurant (Finally a restaurant owner who understands the bar needs space😁) Now what you all really want, as one of the selected few to preview certain menu items I must say I’m blown away. First and foremost they have croissants😁😁😁😁. This is THE brunch bread and every single restaurant misses this.(Biscuits and toast are overrated). I sampled the Fried Green Tomatoes and they are by far the best I’ve ever had. These tomatoes are succulent and tender at the same time. The texture of the breading is reminiscent of fried chicken and the perfect crisp. The drizzle of remoulade paired with a sprinkle of feta cheese and micro greens on top completely elevates the experience. And if you like smoked anything, then the Smoked Wings are a must. Brined in what I must say is the most delectable taste blend, evoking the essence of a smoked turkey sausage soaked in syrup, savory and sweet, lingering long after it’s gone. The outside is crisp and flavorful while the meat is tender and falls apart in your mouth. Paired with a savory bourbon sauce it’s divine. I could go on but I'm too busy eating leftovers. Follow the social media because opening day is coming soon. 🏃🏿♂️🏃♀️🏃🏽💨 to @Whiskatl...
Read moreWas really excited and looking forward to trying Whisk when it came up on my feed and to my surprise it was located nearby in Camp Creek. I finally got the chance to patronize after hearing a couple of reviews. Parking was easy, valet was just $5 or you can park along the street upon entering. Not sure what’s confusing or a problem with those options but I chose to valet and the service was good from the young men working.
I didn’t have a reservation but was solo so figured I could grab a seat at the bar. I was immediately accommodated and offered a high top by the bar. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. Unlike anything else in the immediate area. Clean/warm colors, lines, the aesthetics, decor and ambiance were everything.
My waitress came shortly after I was seated and helped me decide on a drink. I went with the Whisk Drop per her suggestion and it was delicious. My only complaint is the glass they served it in as the drink came not even half full, it was not served in a typically martini glass or coupe. I asked a passing waiter if it was typical and he said it was given the typical size of a lemon drop glass. I was going to change my cocktail but he offered to bring me a bit more. Appreciate his willingness to try to make it right, even if a bit begrudgingly and defensive.
For my meal, I went with the All About Me omelet and requested it be scrambled instead of folded. It did take more than a half hour to come out though which for breakfast is a long time. My side of bacon was missing and took an additional 15 min to come out… so my eggs were cold. I did have to ask for salt, pepper and hot sauce. And the breakfast potatoes left much to be desired, they seemed old and microwaved/not crispy. The croissant was really good.
Overall, I wasn’t fully impressed with my experience but would try it again and probably order a more classic southern meal. I love a delicious classic breakfast and this didn’t hit the mark.
The owners/management walked around frequently, checking in with patrons and asking how things were going. Staff for the most part were nice and had great energy. For brunch/breakfast, it was on the pricier side. I will try again and am glad another gem has popped up in our community reducing the need to venture north into the city to catch...
