Opened up a Macys credit card per sales associate recommendation to get 20% off. Paid it off in store, did not worry about it until being notified my credit dropped 119 points. After calling Macys they say the sales associate made an error calculating the 20% and I had owed a balance I was unaware of . They got rid of late charges but my credit score is ruined thanks to Macys error. Customer service associate told me even though the sales associate made a math error I am still responsible for the amount owed. 20% off is an "estimate" the associate gives and you are still responsible to check your statement to make sure the sales associate did the math accurately. She ruined my shopping experience and took away the personal touch of buying a needed personal care product of high quality to pamper and soothe my skin. A split-level Macy's, with kitchen and bedroom supplies upstairs and accessories and women's and children's clothing downstairs. There's an escalator and it opens directly into the rest of the mall. It's a clean store, and they have a makeup counter complete with knowledgeable folk. Unfortunately prices are high, and the fashion tends to be a step behind everyone else.
