Blue Flame is one of our "go to" takeout restaurants. They know how to include chicken and beef in their dishes without drying them out. The flavors are there. The price is reasonable and the selections hit the target for what we're looking for. -- Something happened recently, though... change of cook? Process change? spice source/quality? ... that has led us to have crazy-high spice levels for our past 3 orders. (We kept thinking, "ah, this is a one-off where they just missed it," but after 3 times, that's a "shame on us" kind of thing). We're going to hit the pause button until we have a chance to figure out what's going on because the 1-star spice level we've always gotten is hitting around a 4 or 5 star level making it an unenjoyable experience. -- Because we have always done takeout, it's hard to go back after the fact. We're going to find an opportunity to go for a sit-in meal so that we can immediately point to what we're referring to and see if we can better understand where we're going wrong in our ordering / expectations or what's changed that they may not yet be aware of. Love these guys and hope to get this...
Read moreI was so disappointed with the service there. My girlfriend and I felt like an inconvenience to the young lady working the shift. It was the first time my girlfriend was going to eat sushi and the 3rd time I had gone to eat sushi. I ordered a Philadelphia roll and chicken Tempura. We were served Chicken Tempura and a California roll. I brought up the fact that I had been charged for a California instead. It wasn't a big deal, it was the same price. But when I brought it up to the young lady who seemed far more occupied with the TV show that was on at the moment. She said "oh". I mentioned I don't eat crab or lobster. Crab because I always seem to throw up after eating it. She replied, " it's imitation crab". No apology, no empathizing of any kind, and I couldn't believe to top off how we had been treated the whole lunch. She ended it with such a comment. An apology was never given or any kind of understanding. Unbelievable customer service. The food...
Read moreVery Very disappointed in Blue Flame Asian Bistro. We ordered a last min late night take out , 8pm. We ordered orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, volcano roll, and kung pao. My son got an instant stomach ache from the sweet and sour. My orange chicken tasted disgusting (breading was beyond soggy and chicken tasted freezer burnt) stomach ache lasting hours, and my husband woke up with severe diarrhea (sorry tmi). My husband called to discuss our experience and request a refund. The waitress forwarded him to the boss. The boss called back, and said she wants to see our doctor bill. He asked her if she was going to pay our doctor bill!! Crazy, not only were we dissatisfied but nauseous too. We gave them a chance to make it right, but we’re just done with them. Completely disrespectful asking for a doctor bill. Not a way to treat a customer… never ever...
