Savoring Authentic Flavors at El Portón: A Fajita Feast to Remember
Our dining experience at El Portón was delightful. Opting for the steak and chicken fajitas combination was a decision we didn't regret. The dish arrived sizzling hot, filled with perfectly grilled mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers, all generously seasoned and bursting with authentic Mexican flavors.
Accompanied by sides of sour cream, guacamole, rice, beans, and corn tortillas, the meal was a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. The portions were generous, so much so that sharing became not just an option but a necessity.
What truly stood out was the attention to detail and the commitment to authenticity in every bite. The quality of the ingredients was evident, and each component of the dish complemented the other, creating a symphony of flavors that left us craving for more.
In conclusion, El Portón offers a dining experience that goes beyond just satisfying your hunger; it tantalizes your taste buds and transports you straight to the heart of Mexico. A definite must-visit for anyone in search of genuine Mexican cuisine served with flair and...
Read moreThis place is amazing. Best mexican food in the area. The servers were so incredibly attentative. Everytime our chips and salsa were even near empty the servers were quick to replace them. We didn't even have to ask for refills they just kept them coming. They also have the best guacamole I have ever tasted and I eat a large amount of guacamole. My husband and I are vegan and I'm sad to report that this place only really has vegetarian food. I got the vegetables and rice (sans cheese) and my husband got the veggie fajitas. Both tasted amazing. Mine had a wide assortment of vegetables which is uncommon in most mexican restuarants. Nice sauce however the mushrooms were definately marinated with butter. Which was super tasty just not good me specifically. My husband enjoyed his dinner so much he was relatively silent the majority of the meal, which NEVER happens... Also, the portion size of everything we ordered was generous.Try this place, you won't be disappointed; you will just...
Read moreFirst time visiting El Porton Restaurant in East Wenatchee. Stopped in for lunch while visiting family in the area. We arrived at noon on a week day. The restaurant was fairly busy. However, our group of 5 were seated immediately. Menus were provided. Drinks, along with chips and salsa, arrived shortly after. After a brief time, we were able to order our food. After ordering, it wasn't long before our lunch selections arrived. The food was well plated and of good portion size. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. The food was served up at an appropriate temperature and the flavors were good. I ordered the chicken mole plate. The chicken was delicious and tender. The mole was nice and chocolatey, but not too much. Rice and beans were just as they should be. Very good plate. Service was excellent, even for a busy restaurant. And, the prices are very reasonable. Definitely 5 star service and food...
