Dawson Rodregioz did an outstanding job solving my dying phone problems with an old Android and ordering a replacement phone on 9/15. This situation was complicated by the fact that my phone service is part of my daughter's business plan. He worked with me for 1 and a half hours. We even had to call my daughter in CO for assistance. When my new phone arrived on 9/16, I came back to the Edina Xfinity location to get help with my new phone's activation as I needed to make and receive important calls regarding flood mitigation with my condo. I knew Dawson was off that day but I was desperate. I was assigned to Miguel ? Who was very impatient and unhelpful with my questions and concerns over assurance all my old phone data was being transferred to the new unit. He appeared very stressed and was on his personal phone a few times so I attempted to be kind and expressed my concern for the "busy day" he was having. He then proceeded to tell me his troubles while he waited for my old phone to transfer contents. He was impatient with my questions and once the info transfer was completed he got up and started to walk away. I voiced my concern about how this new Samsung phone worked compared to my old Android..He said..just go home and play around with it ..you'll catch on to it. I am 83 years old with a vision problem which I stated to him and attempting to experiment with new technology is hardly anything I'm qualified to do!!! Today 9/18 Dawson once again rescued me and patiently helped me learn how to use my new phone. Plus he made sure my old phone was completely cleared of all my info...which had NOT been done by Miguel. Dawson Rodregioz (sp?) Is a superior, patient, kind, and extremely knowledgeable service technician..AND I personally recommend he receive a rewarding recognition...
Read moreMy experience with this store was not the best. One of the managers who was working with me and helping me purchase a new phone did not do his job very well. As I sat there waiting patiently for him to put in all the info on the computer, I saw he was getting distracted. I looked down and saw he was watching a game on his phone. It made me feel like he didn't care about his customers. I told him I wanted to purchase a new case and screen protector. He pointed to the wall across the floor and said to look over there. I mentioned I would have liked it for him to come with me to make sure I got the right setup for my situation. I wanted a case that was very durable for my job. He did not come with me; instead, he said just look for this model of phone, s24+. I was worried I was gonna get the wrong screen protector. I came back and made my purchase. I had asked him to install the screen protector since my hands were shaky. He told me he didn't do that but could ask his team members. As he came back, he informed me I got the wrong screen protector like it was my fault, but in the end, he should have done his job and come with me to pick out the right setup. He did not put his customers first and was too busy watching his game. I told him that's why I wasn't you to come with. He replied, " I told you what model to get". I replied, saying, "I'm not a tech type of person." He made a comment saying "I. Suprised you don't have a flip phone. Very unprofessional especially for being a manager. Xfinity has gone downhill with its customer...
Read moreI was able to disconnect my services today. Nothing about this store but comcast service is overpriced and frankly not great. I would have left 10 years ago it i could. Data caps and terrible upload speeds. No option for static IPs, port 25 is perma blocked. Service SUCKS! I was paying over 90$ a month and I left for CenturyLinks 500/500 symmetrical package for $50. The Xfinity person that finally disconnected my services offered a lower price and even came back with $30 a month for 12 months. wow the same service for a 1/3 of the price. crazy. you know considering the data cap removal monthly fee is like half that or something. what a joke.
This is years ago. When I had my own apt and only needed internet. A rep called me out of the blue when my package was expiring and upsold me to an internet and TV package that was like $20 less a month for 12 months. long story short I got stuck in the TV+internet tier for years and could never get out because it was more expensive to go back to just internet. With no literal tv in my home. Fun story, xfinity sent out multiple techs to hook up my set top box. I told them i didn't want one as i don't have a TV, i have no use for it. One guy was like i can't leave until i verify its working, like oh yeah, well i hope you brought a tv. he left the set top box and that was the end of that.
Done with this company. Unless this is your only option, avoid this company. I've heard good things of USI and I'm very happy with quantum. 500/500 is more than most...
