As a seasoned parks professional and reviewer of over 200 parks and playgrounds, I would highly recommend this park as one of the most charming destinations in the Twin Cities. The park boasts picturesque walking paths that meander around the lake, beautifully crafted benches, swings, and tables where visitors can enjoy a meal or simply observe the surroundings. Additional amenities include an amphitheater, a maze, bubbling brooks, paddleboat rentals, and golf facilities, ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy.
I completed one round of the Centennial Lakes walking path in 30 minutes, taking in the exceptional scenery. The path is akin to a labyrinth, offering numerous opportunities for capturing stunning photographs.
The trail is frequently used by dog walkers and their pets, who are consistently friendly and well-behaved. The park also features an array of beautiful artwork and soothing music, creating a serene atmosphere. In my expert opinion, this is one of the finest city parks I have had the pleasure of experiencing, even in the absence of a playground.
Thursdays are designated as market days, while ice skating is available during the winter months. Visitors can also enjoy lawn golf, boating, and summer concerts on the lawn. The park provides tables for picnickers, porch swings, and dining areas along the walking path.
For those who have not yet visited, I highly recommend exploring the walking path, which is one of the best-kept secrets of the Twin Cities and is available at no cost.

Often if I end my work day nearby, I take in a walk here. I enjoy doing this walk with my friends, business peers, and/or daughter. The labyrinth is fabulous and great for photo opportunities. It is so refreshing to take in a bite here after running errands and/or work.
Dogs and dog walkers are frequently on the trail (on a leash) – and often they are super friendly and easy to complement. It is close to a mile a half walk. I love hearing the water fall and seeing the lights of nearby building reflecting on the water at dusk.

Got our skates, barely stepped away from the counter and Said "oh no! We forgot to get the little metal skate assist for our small child!" The teenage girl said "sorry you have to wait in line again." We said "really? There is absolutely nothing you can do? We just waited in that huge line." She said "no sorry." We then went and asked again. No again. We then asked for a manager. Her response was that there was no manager or supervisor there. I find that very hard to believe! Another teenage boy walked up and said can I help you? I expressed to him as well what we needed and he said "oh yeah get in line" and walked off without even looking back. So she got a phone number for the supervisor but I will not bother calling because 1. I'm sure she was there and made aware of the situation and 2. This is clearly how the employees have been taught to respond....
