Tried to submit my passport renewal. Everything was completed, I just needed to sign my form/pay. Staff 1 was too busy to help so she called for help. Staff #2 came to the window like she had been interrupted from something impt and said "I understand you have a question." I said, no, I just want to submit and pay for my passport renewal. She said "Edmonds no longer accepts the blue renewal form," assuming she meant the required DS-82 renewal form I was holding. I said this wasn't stated on the Edmonds passport renewal page. She said I would save $ by mailing it in anyway (no $25 processing fee). I told her that cost didn't bother me, I just wanted it processed since I was there. I was again told that she won't accept it. Not sure if the traffic from Rick Steves office down the street has worn them down, but this woman and her cranky attitude sure don't reflect well on Edmonds. The younger gentleman next to me wasn't happy with his service either. Our transaction could've been completed in less time than this individual spent on saying a cranky "no." The ticket was in response to parking the wrong direction- which at the time was the only way to reach the electric car charger. To my surprise I received an overdue notice and my fee was bumped. When I wrote another letter to explain the circumstances, the judge just simply denied it and insisted that my fees were due. This, paired with increasingly higher state fees for electric cars, makes this area super un-EV friendly, which is frustrating for those trying to do their part against climate change. I’m disappointed with the legislature in response to EV use and the Edmonds court system did not even give me the chance to explain the...
