Kelnero — Restaurant in Edmonds

What an awesome place!!!

I grew up in Edmonds and have seen a lot of places come and go, but I have also seen many succeed and continue to thrive to help keep Edmonds what it is.

When I came home to visit in October 2020, my mom took me to Kelnero for my first time. Unfortunately, we just went for drinks after having dinner at home... BUT the menu looked fantastic and I can't wait to go back and try!!

Great location Love the vibes Atmosphere is spot on Incredible cocktail list, alcohol selection, wine and beer choices Friendly, knowledgeable, professional and incredibly fun and engaging staff Clean establishment COVID friendly and following CDC guidelines properly

My mom also knows the owners; they are this wonderful younger couple who personally came out and said hello to us and checked to see how we liked everything. They give off a very homey feel, where you feel part of something just for a few hours. I absolutely LOVE that in a small town family business!!!

On 10/27/20 when I visited Kelnero... they had JUST finished their outdoor dining area out back under a GIANT tent; set with tables, chairs, heat lamps and even flower beds! It was very proactive of them to jump on the outdoor dining with heat lamps to help keep their business thriving during these weird economic/COVID pandemic times.

I think this place will go very far in Edmonds. Just check out all of their photos/reviews on their social media platforms!

And while you're at it, check out all they offer for TO GO options!!!! I think you'll be just as shocked/impressed as I was when I saw they offer much more than just food takeout.

Go support one of Edmonds local businesses - you won't regret it!!

We just ate here for the first time tonight and are now kicking ourselves for waiting so long to visit. It was nearly full on a Friday evening and we got a small table just inside. Bartenders were jumping but got out first round out pretty quickly.

The only negative thing I'll say about tonight was the lack of the lemon peel and orange peel in the first round of drinks. When you're charging $15-$16/drink I don't think being busy is a reason to forget that touch on the cocktails. But my wife did say it was the best negroni she's had since we were in France in 2022. So a minor oversight.

Food was delicious! We shared the ceviche, tuna and prosciutto wrapped dates. All of it was excellent! The jam with the wrapped figs was amazing! A perfect sweet hit after the salty prosciutto. And the seasoning and liche de tigre with the ceviche was spot on. Tuna was perfectly seared with a seasoned, crusty costing. A little bit of heat was just the right finishing touch.

The deck had cleared out a bit after our first round and bites so we moved to the stools outside for round 2 and dessert and to watch the people cruise by. Second round of drinks came with the lemon and orange twists. Woot! We shared the s'mores cheesecake. My wife thought she didn't want any. Ha! She ate about a third of it.

Overall staff was super friendly. Kudos to Sara (sp?) for checking in on us and chatting to us about the restaurant. We let her know how good the drinks and food were so she could pass on the compliments.

This was not a budget meal by any stretch. Three plates, four drinks and one dessert came to $144 before the tip. But we've already decided we're going back again for our next date night because it was worth...

the owners are incredible. first off, i’ve seen them handle some difficult guests before and they always do so with such grace and respect. i get a kick out of the extra charge for not conducting yourself properly. i think all places should do this!

not to mention they have the best handcrafted cocktail selection, and have employed the best bartenders to make the magic happen. the owners also take very good care of their employees it seems, which having a background in the hospitality industry, i just LOVE to see it! i have yet to meet someone who isn’t a ray of sunshine at this establishment and i wholeheartedly believe that is a reflection of how the owners care for and treat their employees.

everyone is very knowledgeable on spirits and they’re willing to have a conversation and even teach you a thing or two about the art of mixology and recommending different spirits to try. the price is well worth the service you receive and honestly, the service goes well beyond. this is my all time favorite place in the edmonds area and if you haven’t checked this place out yet, then what the heck are you waiting for?
