Katie, John, and Meg gave me the best customer service experience I could have imagined. I would recommend J Rankin to anybody looking for an engagement ring search experience that is authentic and individualized. Here's why:

I hate shopping. I'd rather do just about anything else, like spend a Saturday helping a friend move or clean hair from the shower drain. The search for an engagement ring for my partner of 7 years began by feeling like an impossibly daunting task.

Like many Millennials, I began my search online. Type in some specs, click, match, choose, done. Easy right? Nope. It felt overwhelming and weird to shop for one of the most important purchases of my adult life online. So I asked a friend where he had gone and he recommended J Rankin. I'm so glad I decided to make the short drive to Edmonds from Seattle.

Here are the highlights:

-As soon as I walked into the store they were welcoming, knowledgeable, and patient; -I never felt pressured at any point in the process; -They cared about what we wanted in a ring, special ordering stones for me to come back and check out to be sure I chose the right one; -I never felt shamed or silly for my serious lack of ring knowledge; -They worked with me on price. After doing my research, I ended up feeling like I got a great deal for an amazing stone and setting; -Being a local business, they went the extra distance to personally follow up and ensure the quality of their work.

The biggest shopping event of my life ended up being a wonderful experience thanks to Katie, John, and Meg. Since then, she said "yes" on top of a mountain and we're happily engaged! She absolutely LOVES the ring. Now, if only J Rankin...

A few years ago I made a move from an area I had lived my whole life and was established with a family jeweler in that area. I had inherited many antique jewelry items and I found myself in need of a Jeweler. I did a lot of research and J Rankin Jewelers came up with the best reviews and positive feedback. After having many different things done i.e. appraisals, soldering, melts, and purchases, I feel like he is extremely knowledgeable and well rounded in his field. No matter what I bring in, what I need to have done or what item I’m looking for John always has answers, options, connections and ideas. Through me he has become our family's Jeweler and we all love the work he has done for us. I can’t say enough about him, his wife, his employees and his store. I went into John's store to find something for my wife's birthday. We are boaters and have a new (to us) yacht and I wanted something nautical. There wasn't anything in the store that grabbed me at the time, so John set an appointment for me to come back in two days. When I returned he had researched dozens of specialty companies and showed me twenty-plus options that met my criteria.

We settled on a beautiful gold "fouled anchor" on a special gold rope chain necklace. My wife loves it and she gets compliments on it every day - three months after getting it, she still gets daily comments. Now that is a gift to warm a husband's heart! John has unique and beautiful jewelry in his store and if you need something even more special he will go the extra mile for you. Highly recommended.
