I am so beyond frustrated with my experience at the Social Chain and wanna warn others before wasting their money on subpar materials.

I was at the Mariners game for Mother’s Day and this company had a booth going. I’ve always wanted to try permanent jewelry and ended up going for it. Picked out a cute gold chain that went well with my skin tone and a charm. I was a little wary of the price of $90.88 but I figured I’d get a lot of use outta it so went for it.

I’m under no illusion that “permanent jewelry” is actually permanent but figured I’d at least get a couple years outta it. I was WRONG!! Two weeks later ALL of the gold on the chain was gone and I was left with this tarnished looking silver chain. I did not do any swimming, no harsh chemicals, etc.

When I reached out to the company to question why this would happen (thinking it was possibly just a faulty chain batch) I was met with ‘there’s nothing they can do’…then went on with some BS about the pH of my skin being the issue. I get that the pH, over time, can cause reactions to materials, but it should take hell of a lot longer than two ‘effin weeks to get to that point, especially if they were using quality material that even remotely justifies the $90 price tag! I’ve had cheap costume jewelry last longer than the over priced, shoddy chain used at this company.

If there’s an issue with their jewelry after you pay, you’re SOL, they won’t do anything about it. Save yourself the money and headache and...

I had The Social Chain Co come to my sister-in-law’s bridal shower that I hosted at my house and they were such a hit! Rebecca showed up early to get set up before everyone got there as I was still scrambling to get ready as well so I showed her where to go and she handled the rest from there. Her booth looked so professional and had everything she needed. I had let them know that it was a western theme party so Rebecca came dressed accordingly, she fit right in!
