⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We stumbled upon Cafe Birdie while passing through Edwardsville, and what a gem! Funny enough, it didn’t show up when we searched for coffee shops—it’s listed as a restaurant—but it immediately caught our attention as we drove by.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt special. The space has an energetic, welcoming vibe, clearly created with love. Classical music played softly in the background, the staff were warm and friendly, and the whole place just radiated positivity.

The food and drinks were excellent—fresh, unique, and absolutely delicious. We enjoyed a lavender lemon donut, the frittata of the day, a latte, an americano, and hot chocolates for our three daughters. Everything was made with care and stood out in quality.

For families, this place is especially wonderful. There’s a kid-friendly coloring station with big rolls of paper and markers, and they even display the children’s artwork along the wall near the restrooms—such a thoughtful touch! The patio is spacious and comfortable with fans and good airflow, making it a perfect spot to relax (even with our dog).

If you’re in Edwardsville and need a recharge, great coffee, or nourishing food, don’t miss Cafe Birdie. It’s a...

Absolutely! Here’s a continuation for your review:

"I want to leave a good review for a breakfast restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the perfect tone for my meal. The staff greeted me with smiles and were attentive . I decided to try omelette and pancake, and it was nothing short of spectacular—fluffy, loaded with fresh ingredients, and cooked to perfection.

The coffee was freshly brewed and had just the right balance of richness and flavor, complementing my meal beautifully. I also appreciated the variety of options on the menu, catering to every taste, from hearty classics to lighter, healthier choices.

Overall, my experience was delightful, and I left feeling satisfied and eager to return. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic breakfast experience!" I can’t wait to come back to try the sandwiches and for sure a...

I HATE being this person because I love supporting small businesses, but honestly this place just isn’t good. From lukewarm food that took over 30 minutes to get (we were there for over an hour & people came and went before we even got our food) to NO A/C (it’s 100+ outside! This is dangerous for workers & guests, fans do NOT cut it) & mediocre service (we asked for extra sauce and they looked at us like we had 3 heads), find somewhere else to eat. The $40 we spent here was NOT worth it. The tater tots looked reheated & weren’t crispy. They were like microwaved tots. Chewy. The food was eh, nothing special. Overall, this place is just really ok. Not a good experience & the food wasn’t good enough to make up for it 🤷🏻‍♀️ staff had bubbly personalities, but weren’t really nice if you asked for something. Will not...

We love this place. I'm gluten-free so I'm beyond grateful for places like this that give us options. Their bread substitute is like a GF baguette and is very yummy. They also always have a GF baked good option; the scones are the best I've had for GF. Coffee is Sump brand I believe and is delicious. It's tough to get a good cup of coffee this side of the river. Yes you may have to wait a little as most things are homemade here and it's a smaller space; it's worth it for us. Also wanted to plug these folks as caterers. We picked up catered lunch here to feed my wedding party while we got ready at a hotel down the street. It was DELICIOUS and they were so kind. I hope these folks stay around for a long time - perfect place for a lazy brunch. Favorite item - tomato confit.

Hot day, but nice AC. They had a fire going but think it was for show since I sat right next to it and was fine. I did find it odd but cozy. Almost a diner vibe which was strange but kind of cool? I ordered an "Iced Matcha with Oat Milk" and no food. One of the better matchas I've had. I like that they brought the Matcha out to the table vs calling your name to come up. Nice seating options but wished there were more outlets since I was there to get some homework done. It seemed very kid friendly. Bathrooms are gender neutral, love to see it. Also, the music was 12/10. Very clean. UPDATE! Brunch is amazing! More diner than coffee/cafe on weekends. Sooo many yummy flavors to try.
