I have always supported my hometown boot store, but I have now suffered two very disheartening experiences (separated by about a few months) and I think others should know. During the Christmas holidays, I took my family to our yearly boot trip to Cowtown. I told my 11 year old boys to pick out a pair of boots while I picked mine out. They were searching for their pairs of boots while I browsed the mens boots. I noticed a large family of five kids go through the kids boots section, while I was being stalked by a sales representative. I was looking for a rubber sole square boot made by the Cowtown; so that I can get what I need and concurrently support El Paso (I currently live in DFW). Because I was looking through all these boots so meticulously, the sales representative thought that I was trying to steal boots. Realizing that I gave him the wrong impression, I chose to have him help me find what I was looking for. Since I had been pinned as the wrong kind of person, he was rude, acted like I had an unreasonable request, and gave me the impression that I was the problem. Turns out, Cowtown no longer makes those kind of boots. The sales representative got upset at me and left, and I continued to browse. A few moments later he asked me if those were my kids in the kids section. He informed me that they had moved about 20 boots out of where they belong and made a mess of the kids section. I was angry with my children because they are certainly capable of misbehaving so I raced over. When I arrived, my kids were putting a bunch of boots back where they belonged on the shelves. I confronted them, âBoys, this salesman said that you left at least 20 boots out of their place.â Then they responded, âNo Dad, there was a family with five kids that left everything out, and we are putting them back for them.â So I looked at the salesman, and said, âhow about you verify my childrenâs wrongdoing before you falsely accuse them next time!â He was apologetic since my tone towards him had clearly changed, and he changed for the better. However, it shouldnât take that much drama to get good service. He offered a discount, then took it back on one of the pairs because it was already marked down. About 2 months later, I ordered a pair that had caught my eye when I visited in December. I just got the shipment, and it was the wrong boot! I called and explained, and they informed me that I have to pay to ship it back to them before they correct...
Read moreIt was serendipitous that Cowtown Boots El Paso was close by to the hotel that we decided on to bed down after the drive from San Antonio. We stopped by Cavender's the day before and found their selection for hats was very slim, and felt that we would come up empty-handed and insatiated on our way home. The Cavender's shopping experience felt so consumer-based - friendly, but the bottom line was to sell a product. But, our luck changed, and we were able to fulfill our hat needs at Cowtown. We were able to make it to Cowtown with one hour left to closing on Super Bowl Sunday, keeping within legal speed limits, of course. đ We didn't at all feel rushed in the hour that we had. Jamie was extremely helpful, giving his best advice in choice of styles and colors in hats; he dedicated time and attention to our needs and questions. Not once did we feel at all an inconvenience to the staff at Cowtown. They didn't close the front door after our entry. Other patrons stepped in after us, and they received the same great service. The store is clean and massive with a wide range of boots, belts, buckles, clothing, and hats. It's impossible not to find what you need (or want) from Cowtown. The location is great because it's right off the main fareway along the freeway, and entering from the street and parking are pretty easy, too. They also have clean guest bathrooms, which was extremely helpful after a long drive. In less than an hour, we left with about 10 minutes left on the clock to closing, happy and satisfied. Between the two bigs in Texas, we choose Cowtown over Cavender's because of the family-feeling service. This special touch makes Cowtown so much more of a better choice over others. It's given that we are all busy, and we have objectives, but respecting and valuing each other's time are what make good business and lasting memories. Because of this, we look forward to stopping by to check out more of Cowtown Boots El Paso and share our...

If youâre in El Paso and in the market for authentic Western wear, Cowtown Boots Co. is the place to be! From the moment I walked through the door, I could tell this wasnât just another store â this was the place for serious Western style. Whether youâre after a classic cowboy hat, a bold new outfit, or some high-quality boots, this store has got you covered.
A big shoutout to Carlos and Jaime, who made my shopping experience a 10/10! Carlos was super helpful when I was picking out my hat. He took the time to help me choose the right style and even went above and beyond by cleaning and boxing it up for me â talk about top-notch service!
But what really stood out was the customer service. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a warm âGood Morning!â and immediately asked how they could assist me. The guys didnât just push products; they genuinely cared about helping me find the best look. They even made some great suggestions that helped me step up my style game.
Itâs refreshing to walk into a store where the staff is engaged and passionate about what they do, especially after having been to other places where employees were more interested in their phones than helping customers. Iâm so glad I found Carlos and Jaime at Cowtown Boots Co. â they made my shopping experience feel personal, fun, and effortless. Highly recommend checking them out!
Whether youâre a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by for all your Western wear needs. You...
