I love to see small buisness wear their hearts on their sleeves, or in this case their plates. The food was amazing. Ordered some empanadas that were amazing, not what you may be used to if your Caribbean but uniquely delicious. No risk of getting an emptynada here. Filled to the brim with no space left behind. Moving onto the entrees the arepa was 5 star delicious. Stuffed to the brim and with beans and sweet plantains to make the heart sing for home. Being Dominican in El Paso this was such a wonderful taste of familiar flavors. Let’s talk about this sandwich. Flavors of home that are untouchable. It’s like a Puerto Rican tripleta on crack. I love Venezuelan food as I am from Colombia. I ordered the pabellon arepa, frozen tequenos and passion fruit juice.

This is the first time I have not liked an arepa at any south American restaurant. The arepa was super dry and burned. Plus it didn’t have any flavor. The best thing of the arepa were the fried plantains.

If you love Venezuelan food and arepas maybe try making them at home or find another place that’s sells arepas.this was the worst arepa I have ever tried. Not worth the 25+ minute wait nor the money. The price was reasonable as it was only $12 + tax but believe me, it was disappointing.

Food was great, you can tell fresh home made authentic. But going on a Saturday at 5pm there was only 1 young kid doing everything- taking orders, serving, and cleaning. And it was obvious the kitchen probably had only one other person as our cachapa was rushed and mushy. They were overwhelmed dealing with dine in and pick up orders. We came here because of the insta advertising which clearly someone knows how to do well but they need to invest in having more people.
