Avoid this place. We arrived at 3:30 on Saturday and there was a wait, which actually seemed promising since it was popular. The hostess barely looked up from her cell phone and rolled her eyes when we asked for a table though.
When we were seated, our booth was dirty. I'm talking pieces of hamburger and lettuce on the seats. It took about ten minutes for our sever to arrive. She seemed overwhelmed.
We immediately ordered and received our food after about five minutes, which I appreciate. However, the food was so bland. Fries were way undercooked and the burgers had no flavour. The bacon was also undercooked and if there was guacamole on one of our burgers, we couldn't tell. Overall there was just a lack of flavour, for orders that were around $19 each. Nothing distinguished the toppings or the beef. Five Guys is way better, and I don't even go there often.
Also, a member of our party ordered one of the desserts, which was marked as a la mode on the menu and which was shown having ice cream on it in photos, only to receive it with no ice cream. When asked, the server said it did not in fact come with ice cream. It is obviously a very bad thing for a menu to be misleading in that manner.
For those who have not been, you get an open view to the kitchen, which in our case was a shame because one of the guys whom was actively cooking had a huge beard hanging all over the cooking surface because his beard guard was pulled down around his neck. At least try a little.
The whole restaurant was pretty dirty. There were what looked like fries stomped on the ground all over the floor and no one was bussing tables. There were at least six tables near us that had not been touched at least 15 minutes before we left, which is a shame because there were easily 20 people waiting to be seated in the lobby when we left.
We had been to this Red Robin many times before before, but it was maybe about 12 years ago and it was fine then. Now it's just a sad experience and we definitely will...
Read moreThe entrees were delicious! Ran out of drink within the first 10 minutes and never received refills. Also, when food was bought out, they left the sweet potatoes off and after 20 mins we stopped someone to ask for the sweet potatoes, refills, and to place to go order. Still no sweet potatoes and no refills which now we needed regular fries and still received nothing. When someone bought out our to go orders, she asked if we needed anything. Finally got the sweet potatoes but they were BURNT and even asked the waitress to try them but she wouldn't and said she wouldn't even attempt to them because they were burnt. Finally a manager came and let him know that we have been waiting on drinks, sweet potatoes, regular fries, and another bag. No apologize really given except "What do you want me to do for you?" My response "Absolutely nothing but you need to train your employees." Manager did state he will take care of the crossiant donuts (which he did not). We went here to eat for my nephew's 16th birthday and your restaurant staff failed you greatly. I do not like to bash or talk bad about anywhere because everyone is struggling. This is unacceptable though... there were 9 customers total in the restaurant including my party of 3. This was very disappointing!!! I can honestly say that this is what I get for going back on my word to only eat at small businesses (family/mom-pop) instead of chains because they are going to survive BUT if you guys keep this up, you won't survive. I ran restaurant 20 years and I can guarantee that this would NOT have happened at my restaurant. Your staff worried about who doing who and what they doing after work. I would love a follow...
Read moreWorst experience at Red Robin. We were seated and then went back up front to get crayons for the kids and they had none.... ok. I can deal with that. The table next to us was disgusting. Whoever sat there was very messy and it must have sat there for 5 minutes until a very nice man cleaned it up. (He was the only positive part of this trip!) also the carpet was coming up over by the bar and the floor literally had puddles on it that made the restaurant look gross. our waitress took forever to get our order so we just ordered drinks and food at the same time. We would have ordered an appetizer but I didn’t want to wait 20 more minutes for her to come back to get our food order. Horrible beer selection. Nothing unique at all for a restaurant that boasts on their sign they have great brews. Then our food came out somewhat quick. I got a three cheese sandwich that I was expecting to be a burger but was like a grilled cheese with bacon (my fault for not fully reading). The great was so hard it hurt to hit through. The cheese wasn’t even remotely melted and the bacon was old tasting and wasn’t flimsy or crunchy but more plastic like seeming. My son got the corn dogs so they came in a separate container on the plate. Thank goodness because the plate had something crusty dried on it. My husbands burger was medium rare when he asked for well done and my daughters Mac and cheese was super watered down and tasted terrible. The nice cleaning man came to check on us long before our waitress did. We paid and left very dissatisfied. I thought Red Robin was a step above other chains. But I guess not. I don’t usually complain about restaurants. But this was a very...
