Came here with my boyfriend to purchase a mattress / bedroom set last week. We wanted to shop from a local vendor instead of a huge name brand company. With Tony’s help we decided on a bedroom set and we’re told that if we paid cash they’d waive the taxes. Told him we’d come back in a few days to pay and order as it was late and the banks were closed. Came in a few days later & paid, our original sales person wasn’t in so we completed the transaction with a second person who’s name I don’t remember. He promised to contact us and let us know if the pieces we ordered would arrived in a few days or if they would take a few weeks. Upon not hearing back from them as promised we called the phone number on Tony’s business cards and invoice. No one ever answered - all calls went to voicemail. Had to google an alternative number to reach someone. Confirmed that furniture was in stock and they would deliver a few days later. We were scheduled for a delivery between 5-6 pm and we received a phone call that they were on their way now ... It was noon & they were FIVE hours early. I was at the Home Depot in Linden but, I rushed back to meet them at the house. They finished assembling everything when I asked about the nightstand ( I thought we had purchased one with two drawers but, I didn’t have the photo of what we ordered on hand so I assumed I made an error. ( I later realized I was correct ) Several hours later we were contacted by the delivery person who told us that they gave us the wrong mattress and wanted to swap it out for our correct mattress. Our mattress had been given to another family and also opened. I don’t want a used mattress in the middle of a pandemic. I want a new mattress like I paid for and the correct nightstand. I have already contacted NJ consumer affairs for clarification to see what my rights are. Will upstate upon situation...
Read moreI'm truly surprised to see all of these negative reviews! I recently had an exceptional experience at Save Mart. This past Sunday I was desperately shopping for a couch (since all of the big stores are on back-order for months, I really wanted to target a smaller furniture store.) I stopped by Save Mart and immediately fell in love with one of their couch sets. Luis helped me out and he was very friendly and helpful. We made a partial cash deposit and he told us the couches would be ready for delivery on Wednesday and he asked what time would be best (I mentioned any time after 12). Part of me was a bit skeptical initially, but Luis seemed like a very honest and genuine man. On Wednesday, I received a call around 12:30pm from the delivery men and the couches were well packaged, quickly brought it up to my apartment, assembled it and cleaned up all before 1pm. They were great! I gave them the remaining balance in cash. I am very very happy with the overall service, customer service, quality of the furniture and pricing. I would highly recommend this location if you quickly need furniture and would suggest to ask for Luis...
