UPDATE 21AUG19; no longer as good. The good; kitchen has more options. The bad, portion size of meat in tacos has decreased substantially. Customer service still great. I know downgrade from 5 stars to 3 is a bit harsh, but if your a taco shop IN ST LOUIS, you gotta have GOOD tacos, not just tacos that are ok. Compare these tacos to the ones at El Morelia on the weekends and the difference is MASSIVE.

Go here, don’t think about it…just get in your car and drive. Service…on point. Everyone stopped by and was helpful in getting our order. Food…AMAZING. Drinks… dangerously good. And service, by far the cherry on top. So friendly, quick and responsive, even brought us a dessert on the house!! What a place. Have always been there for the tamales, (which order them, take them home, eat them and be happy) but now it’s where we will be inviting our friends to dinner at. Ambiance is beautiful. My wife and I finally got to stop in for lunch. We each had a carne asada, pollo pibil, and a barbacoa taco as well as a salsa verde (pork) gordita.

The food was fast, hot, and amazingly delicious. The tortillas are made in-house and you can tell.

There was a shaker of oregano and a verde, and a red salsa available to accompany. Each was complementary and tasty.

The service we received was top notch as well. It was our first time and our hostess (owner?) was friendly and explained the menu, made a couple of recommendations and made our experience a treat.
