Cantina La Tiendita — Restaurant in Ellisville

I recently stopped in for lunch and was thoroughly impressed by the authenticity of the menu. The Barbacoa tacos were exceptionally flavorful, showcasing tender, seasoned meat and it paired with a perfectly crafted fresh margarita in an ice cold tin glass with a tamarind and chili coated straw! It was a like a mini culinary journey to Mexico! Their recent expansion from the Market next door has provided more space to grab some authentic dishes....

All the meats are minced, which gives the tacos, no hard shells by the way, a strange texture and taste. The pork chile verde was the worst, very dry. Authentic Mexican food with limited menu. Tortillas were amazing and enjoyed brisket and steak tacos. Ordered beans and rice separately. No chips but nice charro beans. Margaritas were average. Not your normal experience but staff was nice...
