I’ve always held Hannoush in the highest of standards, until my experience this month (April 2021). My partner & I were looking at engagement rings on Marketplace.We found one that had been appraised at Hannoush, so a ring with paperwork supported by a reputable business. The agreement to purchase the ring was contingent on a Hannoush employee authenticating that it was the ring that went to that paperwork.Maria, a Hannoush employee was who assisted us looked at the ring with eye piece-so she examined it throughly-, mimicked having gone into the office to confirm the appraisal was there & assured us that was the correct ring. In hindsight, I see the con but at the time I just trusted an experienced employee working in a reputable store like Hannoush , which was also the store that in fact did the appraisal itself. Maria confirmed to us that in fact it was the correct ring. So we purchased it. We asked for the Hannoush paperwork, which Maria then fraudulently created a document that was fake & gave us that instead. By now we realized we’ve been duped to the tune of $5,300!?! Which Maria from Hannoush & Scott vb from Marketplace have this con between the 2of them. I report Maria to the store owner, even though I asked to Speak to the owner. I was dissatisfied, disappointed & and outright appalled as he glibly dismissed all of my concerns about Maria using an institution like Hannoush as a front to create false documents & fence poor quality jewelry...?!?! Sooo either he’s involved and a part of the scam or he’s a very foolish man that allows his place of business to be used to defraud people that work VERY hard for their money! BUYER BEWARE!! I'd like to specify that this review is of the Enfield location specifically. The Holyoke location has been absolutely amazing to me. I've spent $2000 with Hannoush over the past six months. I stopped into the Enfield location the other day to pick up a watch strap, and was greeted right away, which was nice. The gentleman helped me to the watch straps and wasn't super friendly, which was fine. I didn't ask for him to install the strap nor did I want that. Just wanted to buy it, but they must have some policy in place because he went ahead anyway. When he was ringing me out, I had mentioned that I'd be back to pick up a few more straps for my other watches when he cut me of to say "yeah can I ask you a favor though? Can you not come back until after the holidays because we're going to be really busy". The whole time I had this feeling that I was wasting their precious time. Obviously he didn't know my last purchase was $1700 two months ago. But should it matter? How about this.. I'll order online from now on. The guy even scratched one of the lugs when handling my watch very poorly. So far the Holyoke location has been the only one that has been somewhat helpful, but I won't even return there after this. My husband purchased a beautiful Verragio diamond ring for me from Hannoush in Enfield in 2018. He passed away unexpectedly a few months after giving it to me. Needless to say, the ring means everything to me. I recently needed to have the ring sized so I took it to Hannoush. The ring was sent out to the designer in New York City to have it sized, but ended up needing extensive repairs because the prongs were all worn. I was really upset because the repairs were pretty expensive and I didn’t know how I could pay for it. Adrienne at Hannoush was wonderful. She knew my story and she knows how important the ring is to me. She contacted Verragio and worked with them to find a solution. When she called me and told me that Verragio was going to repair the ring at no charge, I literally cried because I was so relieved!!
