WuKong Tea - Enfield — Restaurant in Enfield

I went here because I enjoy getting boba and saw they had just opened. I got the strawberry matcha TEA with added boba. The prices were not too bad so I won’t complain about that, but the drink itself was a 5/10. The drink was 80% milk and 20% strawberry and matcha. I am aware that matcha drinks include milk but there was the tiniest amount of matcha cold foam on top and the rest was all milk. The drink didn’t even taste like matcha at all, I could only taste the milk and strawberry purée at the bottom. As I said I got added tapioca boba in this drink and that wasn’t worth it either. The boba was hard and didn’t taste fresh at all. There was barely even any boba in the drink for me to consider it a boba drink.

The customer service wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t the best. The atmosphere lacks color and personality, I thought they were still renovating because everything was white and there were a couple tables and that’s it. Wait time was about 5 minutes which is fine considering it was me and 2 other people waiting.

Overall I would recommend this shop to someone who is just trying out boba or wants to experience it, but for someone who has had boba before and knows quality drinks, go...

they were backed up and there’d be a wait. I asked for how long, and was told 20 minutes. Ok, no big deal. I walked around the mall for a bit and came back after 20 minutes. Waited another 10 minutes and got one of the drinks for my husband. Waited another 20 minutes and when I inquired about my drink, I was told the slip went missing and they would make it now. Ok, it’s a new business and they’re busy. Again, not a big deal. After another 15 minutes I told them to cancel and walked out. Not going to lie, I’m upset. I walked by that store everyday waiting for it to be built and was excited for the opening, only to wait for longer than an hour and not get my drink. The drink we did get was pretty good. I went back the next day when it was calm, not only did they remember me, they comped my drink. I really liked the red bean milk tea. They may have stumbled out the gate, but they really made...

As I am sitting here in this lobby, I just don’t understand what takes SO long to make a drink. CLEARLY, there is no door dashing orders- unless I’m wrong, but for the amount of people that were waiting for the drinks, why does it take 30+ minutes to wait for a drink and then an additional 15 minutes or so to PLACE AN ORDER???

I GET THAT ITS OPENING DAY, but the staff or MANAGER should realize that you’re suppose to have someone at the register to tend to the customers order CAUSE WHY do we have a cashier running to the back also making drinks?
