Beauty Spa — Local services in Englewood

This was my first visit! I figured I’d give them a try base on their good reviews. However, I wasn’t fond of my hair cut at the end of the day.

The pro- I was able to easily book a hair appointment the day before going in. Go in early and you are guaranteed parking at the outdoor parking lot. The lot is shared with a medical office so parking ends up being limited later on in the morning.

The Con- No complimentary massage during the hair wash. The hair dresser did not engage, and I didn’t even know her name until I asked the front desk . Not friendly and she rushed through my haircut. I was in and out within 35mins.

I do have thick, long, and smooth straight Asian hair. I asked to shorten it by 3-4” with layers . My hair cut turned out very choppy because the hair dresser did not taker her time…she took multiple large bunches at a time to cut my hair. She did not confirm with me to ensure she gave me my preferred length. I alway remove my glasses during a haircut, so I was really hoping I could trust her. The hair cut was done in 15min, and it happened too quickly. I didn’t received any layering and she only asked me if I liked my hair after my hair was blown out.

This is definitely not my favorite hair cut, but it’s not the worst!

I came in as a walk in for a pedicure and appreciated that they were able to fit me in. However, this was not worth the money at all. The pedicure was $60 and at a place called "spa beauty" I expected to get something a little more than a typical pedicure. I did not even get what I would have gotten at a regular nail salon paying $25. First off, they sat me on a hard bench without a seat cushion. They did not even have a jetted bath- it was just a bucket of water. There was no massage of the legs, hot cloth, or stone. I was not offered a place to dry after the pedicure (maybe there was somewhere but I did not see). There was no ambiance of a spa. I have been going here for over 30 years. It is by far the best for facials and pedicures. It definitely can use a makeover but, it’s extremely clean.
