I visited this store to get a sterling jump ring added to a pendant. I had called ahead to make sure this was something they could. When I arrived, there were signs saying repairs in thirty minutes or less. I went to the counter and explained what I needed. The gentlemen was very nice and said they could do it, it would take about an hour and a half. Luckily, for me, I had other errands to run and said I would be back in ninety minutes. He filled out a repair envelope for my item and put $20 on it. I assumed that was the charge. I thought that was high for a service like this one specifically but whatever, I was willing to pay it.

I returned ninety minutes later and the repair wasn't done. He said he needed just ten more minutes.

I'm no idiot. This is one of the most basic services anyone can perform. Hell, I can do it with a little silver solder and a torch.

At this point I just asked for the item back. I wasn't happy about the price or having to wait longer. And, honestly, the ten minutes was no big deal except I did not have the time to wait then. And I very much did not want to come back another day.

The ring that I brought was broken and the stone wasn't set. I brought both the ring and the stone to the Jeweler of Jewelry & Repair Center and he did an AMAZING job in repairing and recreated all of the prongs to reinforce them.
