This store is awesome. There are so many products here. I was in heaven when I walked in. I had never been to a chemical guys store. I am glad this was the first one I walked into. It was so neat and organized. I was surprised by the huge selection they have. The prices surprised me as well. They had so many items and they were not overpriced. I was surprised. Usually when you go to a store site where they specialize in one brand, things are overpriced, not here. They even had a really large section of discounted merchandise. Up to 50%. Wow! I was pleasantly surprised. I check amazon for prices and the site was cheaper. This is an awesome store to visit. I definitely will come back when I get a chance and when I finish the product I bought. I am so excited to try the products. The staff here was super great and informative. They know their stuff and know what they're doing. Thank you guys for making this first time visit fun and informative. I asked a lot of questions regarding a lot of products. They did not get fed up. They walked with me and answered all of my questions. Thanks to their help I was able to finally decide on a product I wanted to take home and try. Next time I go I definitely plan on asking a lot of questions and I am sure they will have no problem answering all of my questions and concerns just as they did on my first visit. Thank you guys so very much for all of your help and being so patient and...
Read moreSo I am new to the area... I only came up this side because of some weekend classes I am taking at a school nearby. I had to get back to school, so I opted to try a restaurant nearby. I saw El Tejate thinking it says it is authentic Mexican food, and I was excited about checking it out. I walked in, and the host pretty much looks at me like she didn't want me there. When I say that, she didn't offer me a seat, or even ask if I wanted to eat in or take the food to go. I asked her as she is walking pass me, "do you all do take out?" She says yes and points me to toward the register.
I get to the register, and the guy is just looking at me, and not saying anything. I finally ask "is there a menu?" He says "oh you want to order" I look through the menu (Everything is in Spanish). That is fine, I speak Spanish, but the assumptions made. I am standing at the register for no less than 8 minutes, and the guy who was at the register had left 8 minutes ago. I finally decided that since I wasn't welcomed there, neither were my dollars. I scooted on to the Italian restaurant next door.
I won't go back to that place. I can't speak for the food, but the service was enough for me to...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer at El Tejate for a while now, and I’ve ordered the same item multiple times, a tlayuda with chapulines. It’s one of my favorite dishes, and I’ve never had an issue ordering it until now. I called in to place my usual pickup order, and the girl who answered told me I couldn’t order a tlayuda with chapulines because “they only sell it with meat.” When I explained that I’ve ordered this same combination before, she seemed confused and asked who sold it to me. I even described the woman who usually helps me, but she still refused to take my order. This is incredibly frustrating. As a repeat customer, I expect consistency and basic knowledge of the menu from the staff. If certain employees don’t know how to ring up an item or are unfamiliar with what’s actually served, that’s a major training issue. It’s not my job to educate your staff on your own menu especially when I’m ordering something I’ve paid for many times before. El Tejate, please do better. Train your employees properly and ensure your regular customers aren’t treated like they’re...
