I am overwhelmingly pleased with the work that Jennifer and her contractors did while finishing our basement. We are a family of 5 that had outgrown the main level of our house and dreamed to expand. My father and I planned the basement project while he was dying of cancer. He gifted me an amount after he passed. So this project was very special and emotional for me. I am so happy that I used Design Center for this very sentimental project. The project finished earlier than expected and everything from communication to the craftsmanship was above and beyond what I could have ever hoped for. Starting with the plans Jennifer helped use up EVERY available square footage including creative storage solutions. She or Brad were always prompt with any questions that I had about the project. Jennifer helped pick out the finishes and everything looks exactly, if not better than, I hoped. Because the money was a gift I had a very strict budget. Jennifer offered several solutions to help me stay within budget. I especially enjoyed working with her contractor Rich. He was always so friendly and he and every person who walked in my door showed the utmost respect. I have 3 small children and all of the crews went out of their way to disrupt our lives as little as possible (including entering and exiting through the egress windows, being as scarce so I could continue live in the home without disruption to our daily routines. We worked with Jennifer at Design Center of Estes Park as we designed and built our new home. Jennifer listened to what we liked and learned our style. She did a good job of narrowing down options so we could make design choices that we felt good about. She was very helpful in coordinating and checking on the construction project, making sure that things went smoothly. She was also helpful when we needed some pieces of new furniture, helping us find options that worked with our existing pieces. This is a VERY unprofessional business. My bad experiences were with Jennifer, the owner! First, it took me two weeks to just get a consultation appointment. Then, after that initial appointment, I waited three more weeks for Jennifer to start a design. After three weeks of hearing nothing from her, I contacted her. She informed me that she was “slammed" and hadn’t even started my design. She never even contacted me to let me know! She wasted five weeks of my time and hadn’t even started! This is a very unprofessional place of business. I certainly do not recommend...
