If possible, this would of been a no star review. I was very mislead by the Macy's associate. I was told that if I opened a new account, that I would receive 20% off all my purchases for two days. Wrong. This did not happen. She also told me that while I would not see it on my receipts that it would be reflected on my billing statement. Also misinformation. What really happened is that first I received my billing statement before my new credit card (which I still have not received). The reflection on my statement included a $100.00 "new account discount". When calling Macy's I was told that the sales person should of added the disclaimer that the 20% discount would only be applied up to a total of 100.00 in savings. Well, this did not sit well to me. Classic bait and switch. One, I would not of opened a Macy's account and two I do not like to be mislead, or rather lied to. That being said, customer service refused to honor the sales associate's representation to me, even though it would only have been an additional $67.00. Needless to say, I immediately closed the account. Sometimes, it just boils down to the principle. Shame on you Macy's customer service. Oh, and it's okay with me that I may not be able to open a Macy's account in the future because of my closing...
Read moreThe store is kept pretty attractive, and I have always found the service professional and courteous. Parking is plentiful too. With sale pricing, one can find good quality items at affordable prices compared to other high end department stores. I have shopped at Macy's in several states for over 20 years. However, I have found in the past year that clothing options seem to be getring smaller. Misses pants are mostly skinny style and leggings. On several occassions I have found there to be an unnecessary amount of clothing in XL-XXL sizes in the Misses department, and not enough of Misses regular sizes 4- 12. Also, like many other stores, there is a Misses Petites department, yet they still carry many bottoms in Short length, but have no Talls in the store. It poor is choices like this that I am afraid are only going to hasten Macy's to close its doors permanentely, forcing customers to shop online- not a preference for me, that's for sure. I hope that something improves in this...
Read moreI walked in 20 minutes before they closed just to grab a blouse. They were already locking the doors. I grabbed my blouse and went to checkout. It was 12 minutes til close. The cashier had one person ahead of me and told me to go to the other register because "this might take a minute". Apparently guy in front of me was getting a credit card. I walked to the other register and she abruptly told me I needed to go to the other register we'd just come from, because she was closing hers out. We walked back, waited 5 minutes, had the 2nd lady who turned us away come tell the cashier we were waiting for that the registers shut off when the store closed, he replied he was almost done. 5 more minites goes by and the store is about to close and this cashier is still sitting there chatting it up with these people until we finally just decided to leave. Frustrating...
