I’ve written a review before, and was called and asked to take it down because it wasn’t a good review. I’m sorry, but I’m still upset about the situation, and I hope that my review can help someone else be a little more diligent than I was. My fiancé bought a ring here to propose to me, he got it sized before giving it to me with my size, well apparently the size was sized took big for the ring size, and upon me wearing it for a few days it CRACKED down the middle, I was devastated as this was a very expensive ring, well to us it was very expensive. Any way, they were very willing to rectify the situation, and they said it should have never been sized as many sizes as it was, and that it was their mistake, and that shouldn’t of happened. So Jay told me he was going to get the ring fully done again, and the stones set into another setting because he didn’t want that to happen again. Well this happens I get the ring back, and the stones are set so deep into the ring, it looks nothing like the ring I got. And on top of it I had to get engagement pictures done with the ring that looked nothing like it, I wasn’t happy at all, Jay said since he saw that it wasn’t the same as what we purchased, we could find another ring that looks like it, well we did find one, but it wasn’t a little bit bigger diamond than the one we had,so we assumed since we’ve gone through all this trouble, it would just be an even exchange, like ya know our $900 engagement pictures, and our biggest time of our lives as a couple pretty much ruined because of all of these events, so we find the one, pick it out and try it on, and we’re told it’ll be an extra $1,000. At this point I should have just returned the ring and went somewhere else, but he seemed very eager to make us happy. Well I get the ring, we pay the extra $1000, I wear the ring for 3 days! And the crack happens AGAIN where the sizing was! I was mortified ! So I wrote a review, he calls me telling me to remove the review and he will fix it once again. At this point I’m done, I took it to another jeweler and found out they used white gold instead of the platinum that the ring was to size it! That’s why it was cracking! And the roundness of the ring itself is horribly off too. So our engagement will forever be tainted! And please do not call me again. I’d like to leave my review, and not be called. Nothing will rectify this. My happy moment, was stolen from me. Oh and I almost forgot, they didn’t have the certification paper for my current diamond ring, and still don’t have it. Their only solution was to dismantle the ring and get it regraded! So I said the hell with it, I’ll get it resized from someone else! Yes they tried to fix everything. But...
Read moreThis is gonna be a long review. The short version is great staff, great selection, and cheap lab diamonds.
Long Version: So my now fiancé and I have been looking for rings for a little while. We wanted to see a specific Gabriel and Co ring (The Sandrine). We saw Jay Roberts carried Gabriel and Co so we stopped in. While they have a good selection, they didn't have that specific ring. The staff (sorry I forgot everyone's names) said no problem, we'll order a sample ring and it will be here next week. Awesome, so I got the call not even a full week later that the ring was in. It was just a sterling silver version since it was a sample but it did the job. We got to see it with various diamonds, they had a big selection of all different shapes and styles. We decided we liked a 2.5 oval. Now comes for the lab diamond discussion. So I've been researching lab diamonds for a while. I discovered Ritani, which is a diamond supplier and jewelry maker (they actually carry Ritani rings at Jay Roberts). This online website is the gold standard when it comes to lab diamonds and they have the cheapest diamonds by a long shot compared to many competitors. My plan was to buy a diamond from them and have the jeweler put it in the ring I want. I decided to ask if they could match Ritani's prices for the same spec of lab diamond. I expected a "oh no we can't do that" but surprisingly they said "yeah sure no problem, we'll order some diamonds for you to see in your price range." I was pleasantly surprised. A week later I get the call that the diamonds are in. I checked them all out, I cross referenced the specs and prices right in front of them and Ritani really couldn't beat their price. Not that they were significantly cheaper, but nearly matching the cheapest online diamond supplier is great. I chose my perfect diamond and put in my deposit for the ring. Waited maybe a month for them to get the ring in from Gabriel and Co. I wasn't in a time crunch by any means so I told them to take their time. It was absolutely perfect. I proposed in Japan and our wedding is next year. We'll definitely be back to buy our wedding bands. Oh and maybe a watch at some point, they have a really nice selection of watches. Can't recommend them enough. Don't waste your money at those dumb chain jewelry stores in the mall. Go here and support an independent jeweler who will actually give you a...
Read moreI first want to say that my salesman Jerry Earling was absolutely amazing!! And he is everything you could ever want in the perfect salesman. That being said I want to tell my story of a terrible experience I encountered that ruined my buying experience. I purchased a Rolex oyster perpetual in beautiful condition for $10,000. On the pickup day of buying the Watch I ask my my salesman to have the “expert watchmaker” to please put the Watch on a time Grapher before leaving the store to make sure the movement is running good and within Rolex tolerance of 0 to +2 seconds fast a day for accuracy. The salesman goes in the back to the watchmaker and then comes back and says it’s perfect. I say to him what’s perfect? He says the watchmaker says +2. I said ok great thank you and I go in my way. After a couple of days I’m starting to notice my watch is fast several minutes so I reset the Watch and I start to track it’s accuracy and realize it’s several minutes fast per day.. I call the store immediately and I speak with the Watch maker who proceeds to insult me telling me if I want something more accurate to buy a digital seiko! I ask him if he’s even an authorized Rolex watchmaker and he tells me he takes a yearly test to be authorized. That sounding weird to me I then decide to not deal with anymore problems as the Watch had three months left of warranty thank god!! And I send it to Rolex themselves…. Come to find out the Watch had an issue with the mainspring and a case back that was never screwed on tightly and left loose aswell as never pressure tested when they put the case back on loose which could of damaged the Watch of water would have gotten in thank god it didn’t as I only wore it twice and not bringing it near water thankfully! I just can’t for the life of me understand how you could have taken this Watch in on a trade and not check the Watch out properly or have this negligent watchmaker who is not qualified working on these watches and telling people there ok when there not. That’s scary!!! Not what o would expect from a reputable watch dealer and Jewler! Very dis appointing! My happy experience of owning my first Rolex was taken away by bad practices. Unfortunately I could never trust this...
