Let me start by saying we frequent this Target more than any store. We easily spend more monthly in this store than our mortgage.
I went there this morning to return a faulty item and exchange another that had clearly been a restocked return.
Returned Item: Was questioned at length in regards to the reason of the return and what steps I took to make it work. I provided an E Receipt from the Target app, apparently this isn’t sufficient. The supervisor said that they normally can’t use this but she would allow it. All with a good amount of attitude behind these statements. What’s the point of having the receipts on the mobile app if they’re just going to give you grief over it?
FireStick exchange: Yesterday I purchased what was thought to be a new FireStick. I opened it last night and there was evidence of the seal being tampered with. Didn’t really think anything of it so I opened the box to see if everything was there. Everything was in the box, including a damaged (appeared to be chewed on) remote with the backplate missing. This remote is not even the same one that should come with the FireStick I had purchased. It was obviously a returned item that someone put their old remote in. I asked to exchange the item for one that didn’t have a remote that lived in someone’s mouth and both the supervisor at CS and the electronics gave nothing but resistance.
They basically accused me of being the one who did the remote switch out and said I was lying and that “this is hard to believe”. They said I must go through Amazon to have the remote replaced.
From Amazon CS: “any returns or exchanges must be made through original retail store”. They will not replace the remote.
So after 2 hours of driving to Target and having to deal with the return counter, I am left with no resolution.
It’s not about the $40 for the FireStick. The issue is being treated like a criminal and liar in front of other customers and employees. This is easily the worst and most embarrassing experience I have ever had at a Target.
Today will certainly make me think twice about spending...
Read moreMake sure you aren't surprised by what the Elf on the Shelf pictures don't show you for the "Brown Eyed Girl Elf". It's not a lightly tanned or even Italian or Spanish looking "elf" as the interior picture, that is supposed to be a picture of the actual doll that you are buying. The touched up photo inside is photoshopped to feign lighter hair and light skin tone opposed to reality. Oh, then they go out of their way not to have to take it back when somehow WALMART of all places saved the day. Amazing what they will do to not have them jamming up the warehouse for another year because of poor buyer foresight.
BTW... don't do in store pickup. Or do it an hour before close or so at least so they don't power off their scanners for the night pretending that they aren't working when you walk in the door. The fact that when trying to return it today less than a day later for store cred for other xmas deco, and then get lied to by management, as they never scanned my pickup barcode last night and then tell us today upon attempted return, that the same code couldn't be used to return it, because when they scan that code it invalidates it (even though they never scanned it a first time)... and after almost 2 hours of "figuring it out" ended up leaving with the same damn elf.... that we ever ordered. At least not based on what we visually saw online.
Thanks for the actual one we ordered online Walmart, right the first time. And thanks for insanely irritating and obviously lazy CUSTOMER service, BUT excellent photo-shopping on your online product listings Target! Deceptive AF for a product that is sold closed with no clear plastic window to...
Read moreThis review is for the Starbucks within the exeter target. My daughter had spilled our coffees in the cart and I asked the Starbucks employees for a towel to clean the mess up. The girl behind the counter was incredibly rude stating they only had napkins at the end of the counter. I stated that napkins were not working my to clean the mess up we already tried that we needed a towel to absorb the coffee mess. This girl’s tone became condescending and increasingly rude and louder as she repeated they only have napkins at the end of the counter or I need to go to guest services. I am appalled by the blatant rude treatment and tone by the employee and honestly am just frustrated with the way people now speak and address one another. There was no effort given to offer assistance or just speaking in a friendly manner. We will no longer be frequenting this target/starbucks because this isn’t the first time we’ve encountered rude awful employees at this location. I will say the guest service gentlemen were very kind and quick to help me with the coffee mess so I commend them and suggest the Starbucks employees receive better customer...
