I hate to give a bad review. I know they are trying but I have been here twice now and both times the Service wasn’t a major issue. No true attention to the table. That includes utensils, drinks, sides/inclusions, and food in general. For the price that I’m paying AND at a time limit.. they don’t pay attention to the table enough. Last time I was there they had a “helper”, young Spanish looking girl, I asked for a drink refill and she said they’ll come over. It took 20mins to get a refill on my drink. The Beef Bulgogi that I ordered had zero seasoning. But when my spouse ordered it, it was juicy and had seasoning/spices.. mine was literally plain beef. We ordered our sides and appetizers but didn’t get them all. But the servers weren’t there in any type of timely manner to assist, so we just dealt with it. The hot plate should have been sprayed, cleaned, or replaced but it wasn’t at all. Literally zero attention to that. Our plate started smoking from the residue but nothing from the staff. I noticed there were a bit much of Fruit Flies around our table at almost all times during both our visits. That did cause a bit of concern to be total honest. My first time there was 2 hours before they closed - they all sat down to eat. Which is great, I get that, I have worked in restaurants.. but we were ignored for drink refills and more food for the grill. That was not so cool… timed, almost being kicked out at the end but we went 30mins of no attention at all! And I wish I was kidding…

I do hope this place can find the help they need and be able to provide true attention and needed attention to quality of the food they are serving as well. For the price.. it’s a lot - and if you want to be good you have to be able to provide decent service.

I will be so happy to change my rating if the place can improve. I am willing to give it one more chance. But otherwise my pocket can’t justify the...

Nothing Korean about it. Korean bbq is top 3 best foods I’ve ever had, this place is top 3 worst places I’ve ever eaten at throughout my whole life and many countries. The food was low-quality and similar to what you’d get a Walmart, I seriously wouldn’t be surprised if they use sauces like Valentina or whatnot, already made sweet and sour etc. The chicken appetizer’s sauce was SO unhealthy for lack of better description, the spicy chicken I got was “not spicy” at all, AT ALL not even for the person I was with that can’t eat spicy.. everything tasted fake and not good, especially for claiming to be what it is, and for having those prices. Those are real food prices, real Korean bbq is worth that. But yes the meat was very bad in fact I couldn’t eat half of it, my stomach was not happy about it. I feel very bad now for eating in general but I didn’t want it to be a waste of almost a hundred dollars, with tip. Everything was sticking too and vegetables not cooking right. I'm honestly baffled by all the positive reviews. They must come from people who are used to eating heavily processed foods regularly because there's no way anyone who appreciates quality could find this enjoyable. If you eat corn syrup for breakfast, maybe. The service was “okay”. Definitely not worth the money and I‘ve been very excited to go for a long time. Unfortunate place to choose as a bday dinner. But go try it. Even for people on the standard American diet it’s totally not worth the money, not even just taste. The sides are not worth it either, not authentic nor great. It’s very unfortunate for a business to be like that but I guess it’s the area. Was hopeful tho. Best thing was kimchi...

I’m glad there’s a KBBQ spot in Berks. However, there is a lot of room for improvement.

The service was fine and food was ok I guess, but what is going on with the cold bar? The food is in a produce fridge and commercial beverage fridge. Please invest in a cold bar to make the food look more appetizing. I saw this and wanted to walk out. You had sauces in two places, why? Consolidate them to keep things simple. Staff should also at least mix up the meats or rotate them so it doesn’t look like it’s been sitting there. The large self-serve island in the middle felt oddly placed. It says, “here’s everything you need, so we don’t have to do any work.” I get that it’s there for convenience, but it comes off as lazy. A more thoughtful layout could make the overall experience better. Put it in a less prominent area or with the rest of the self-serve stuff so it feels cohesive.

Three of us ordered the C package ($37 pp) and left feeling underwhelmed. We lost our appetites and couldn’t finish, only to be charged for our small box of leftovers.

Also, our meats took so long to sear, and we noticed the grill automatically lowers its temperature. The exhaust fans on the table only blow the air towards the wall, so you still smell like grilled meat.

I genuinely want this place to work out and I believe it can with some adjustments.

Wanted to add: We did not try the a la carte menu or hot pot, so I can’t speak on those, but the KBBQ part could...

As kinda Korean bbq connoisseur I've tried alot of different places all over. Was happy to see one local so had to come try. Always nice to not have to drive 1hr+ for some good Korean bbq. At the time of this review, they are only 2 weeks old so still working through some stuff wasn't awful but wasn't a home run for me either. Sad the cheesey corn got removed from menu always a must when Korean bbq places have it along with a steamed egg. The bulgogi wasn't as flavorful as I'd like tasted pretty bland and that's a signature must have at most places. Feels like maybe it just needs to marinate a bit longer. Other food we had was amazing. Pork belly was nice and tender and the chicken garlic was good. Service was good server's were knowledgeable about meats, sides and dipping sauces. Decore was nice and place was clean. Menu has good options Was not bad and I will be back just wanted to give an honest option. I really just wish that bulgogi had more flavor and it would have been a homerun for me.

Went here over the weekend. They do have lunch specials during the week M-F from 12-330 for a lower cost but you get a different meat selection. Weekends dinner selection only. They have a variety of meats including pork, beef, shrimp, chicken, squid, mussels, and vegetables if you aren't a meat eater. A nice selection of appetizers as well. It's byob and all you can eat however they will charge you by the pound for any waste which I don't blame them for. Order what you know you will eat and don't waste food. We did the Korean BBQ where you cook everything yourself on the grill at the table but they do have another menu with thai dinner entrees. Everything was so good and all the people working there were so friendly and attentive. The art work on the walls is hand painted and they had a Korean playlist on for background music. I would definitely come back.
