I would give 0 stars but unfortunately it will not allow me to rate that low. We rented suits through Men's Wearhouse Fairfield for our wedding back in August. I told my husband that I only heard bad things about Menâs Wearhouse but some people he knew liked them and they were cheaper than other places, so we went with them. We now realize the cost savings was not worth the headache of dealing with them.
They âhelpedâ us put together our suits for the guys and after looking at what they chose on the online account, realized that the guy helping us picked ties and pocket squares that did not even match. He also put my name down as the groomâs name instead of the groom, so things got very confusing when the groomsmen went to place their orders. When we called to ask them to fix it, they told us it wasnât a big deal and left it as is which kept leading to problems when people went in for the event.
They also put the wrong pick-up date down for the suits. Our wedding was on a Friday and they told us they get deliveries on Tues and Thurs so we asked for our date to be the Tues before (as the wedding was out of town so no one would be there to easily pick them up the day before) but they botched that and put some of the pick up days as Thurs and some on Tues.
The suits and shirts looked like they had seen many, many high school proms and were wrinkled and pilling. The groom had to ultimately buy a new bow tie because his looked frayed and visibly dirty.
Any time I tried to get any ounce of decent customer service to address any of these problems they said they would fix them and then nothing would happen. They seemed like they did not care and when that started irritating me, they seemed to get snarky back. Literally some of the worst customer service I have ever...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed in the experience we have had with MW in Bridgewater Falls. We had a group fitting for 5 groomsmen, and the groom on 7/24. The appointment was made 2 weeks earlier. When the group came in, the sales person said there was never an appointment put in the system and that âthis happened a lot with one specific person.â
We let that go and got everyone fitted. The groomsmen were in the navy Calvin Klein rental. The groom chose to get a matching custom suit. Apparently the Calvin Klein also comes in a light blue as well, so the sales person matched it to the lighter blue by accident.
The suit came in 2 weeks later in the wrong color. Once they realized the mistake, they reordered the suit around 8/15. We were told because it was a re order it should only take a week or 2 and theyâd rush it, as our wedding is 9/25 and I was worried on time.
I started calling on 9/1, asking if it was in. They couldnât tell me where it was âjust that it had shippedâ. Weâve called every couple days to check in and keep getting told that all they could see is that it shipped but no other information.
We finally went into the store on 9/19 because we needed to figure out what we were going to do for our 9/25 wedding. They said âwe arenât going to apologize againâ ans said they could give us $100 off the wrong colored suit but thatâs all they could do.
Weâre now out $300 on the wrong suit and $200 on an off the rack suit to match the groomsmen (this was from a different store, as we did not trust MW).
Never again will we be shopping at Mens Wearhouse, as this very well could have ruined our wedding if we had not had a...
Read moreEvery tux was wrong. I planned my wedding through MW and if anything that could go wrong did go wrong. To start the online portal just never worked for me. I had to go into the store to make any change or check status'. The first tux I chose only had one fitment (classic) and I didn't realize that when I was getting fitted. The employee didn't know that either because I was fitted with slim pants which isn't possible for this tux. So when my FIL went to get fitted at a different store they said my tux order wasn't possible. So I went back to the same store with my FIL to ask about my fitment and they assured me it was okay. Then I went to get fitted again at my FIL location in Anderson and they showed me it wasn't possible so I switched tuxes and got refitted and had it mailed to my original store. Got it a few days before my wedding and the jacket was a bit too small so they remeasure me again and overnight me a jacket. This new jacket was even smaller than the first one.
Every single grooms man had something wrong with their tux order and most got fixed but my one friend had a strip in their pants while no one else did, didn't realize until we were getting photos taken. Also the cuff links are made out of tin foil, we broke 8 between my 6 groomsmen. It was far too stressful and annoying to deal with them, I will...
