Bagel King of Fairfield — Restaurant in Fairfield

I was visiting family in CT and we decided to have Mother’s Day lunch there before heading back home to Maine. But unfortunately my experience there was horrible today. Stuff very rude. Instead of taking our orders employee took a personal call and went out side to talk in the phone and left us standing there. When she came back she took our orders and it was not right and when we asked about it they rolled their eyes to us. We took our food to eat outside in the outdoor tables when we were done I proceeded to placed the trash in the trash bin located inside of the shop. A very rude employee pushed out my hand and said to me sorry honey we are closed and you have to deal with your own trash so do not placed here and closed the door at my face. It was only 1:30 pm. ( I know store closes at 3pm but it was mother day so we thought that was the reason closing earlier but not reason to act like that ) Very unprofessional. I ordered an egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a hard roll. Within about 45 seconds my order comes out… when I open it up, it’s one small piece of cheese (unmelted/still cold) and an over-cooked egg on an untoasted roll. Uhhhh… what did I just pay $4.25 for? Why is the default not a hot sandwich? Did I have to specify that? If so, they didn’t ask. My 7 year old would do a better job. And I know this place is usually extremely busy so I wouldn’t be so critical if that were the case today, but come on… TAKE 2 MINUTES TO TOAST IT, MELT THE CHEESE, AND ATTEMPT A FRESHLY COOKED EGG, not some old flattened egg that you pre-cooked this morning and have stacked up in the back. And once you learn how to do it right, raise your price and include more than one piece of cheese!! It’s impossible to find a decent egg sandwich anymore!! Super disappointing. Was in the area so decided to stop in for breakfast. Arrived to an empty store, looked at the menu and placed my order. $3.75 for an egg and cheese on a bagel??? Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too pricey, but I digress.

About two minutes after, a woman comes in, orders the same thing (except on a flagel). How is it that she gets to pay before me AND gets her food before I do?!?! 🤔🤔 Now I'm not the one to pull the "race card" but an older woman came in shortly thereafter her, ordered a dozen bagels and received her order at the same time, as well. I'm disgusted and will not be visiting this location ever again.

P.S. the bagels are sub par, at best, and the eggs were flat and had zero taste. They are an embarrassment to the "Bagel King" name. I'll be sticking to the Bridgeport-Main Street location. They know how to treat ALL customers, their prices are sensible and their food...
