The store is really clean. This is the smallest one I've been to compared to the ones out in Reno. Not a negative, just smaller . BUT Always make sure that you have everything with you and do not leave a bag at the register because they immediately put it back on the shelf and they don't save it for you. I had called them and asked them if they still had the item that I left behind. They told me yes we have it and that they'll hold it for 24 hours. We live a town over so my husband went by and picked it up. Upon picking it up they told him. So yeah you're going to have to pay for it. Even though we've already paid for the item and they said it's because we no longer have the receipt so they can't verify that we paid for it. They should have told us that from the very beginning instead of having us go out of our way to go get it. I don't know where the receipt is. It could have been in the bag in the store that got left behind because I don't remember seeing a receipt. Which raises the issue of if the item was left behind and there's a receipt in the bag, they should never put it back on the shelf. I can't prove that I bought it because I no longer have receipt and I don't know where it's at. It could have came home or it could have been in the bag at the store. So if you buy something from them always make sure before you leave the register that you have everything that you purchased. Because they won't save it for you and they won't be respectful when you try to come and pick the item up. So I paid for an item and now I don't get my money back...
Read moreAs sad as it sounds, this store really is basically run by managers that are pretty much just bullies and thugs; most of whom really only take joy in confronting their customers over pettiness rather than being helpful and courteous to them. It’s really quite disgusting and pathetic. It’s also unusual, especially since the Reno stores are run by some of the nicest people you can meet. Case in point, I have been in this location several times and have seen where products are mislabeled or unfairly priced and if you bring it to their attention; management gives you “egos and attitudes” every single time. Recently, I had tried to return an unused garment size “child large” in exchange for size “child extra large.” The price was $10 more and management refused to budge. Who seriously charges more for one size larger in children’s clothing!!?? Unbelievable…
Most recently, I went in store to return some items and there was no one in line and I was called over by the cashier. I began asking for a return and this plus sized woman comes out of nowhere and begins to confront me “Sir you just cut in line!” There was no line, and the cashier rolled her eyes. At that point, people began to enter the checkout area but no one was even in line. I even pointed out that there was no one in line and I was called over. Yet the plus sized woman from management refused to drop it and continued to make a scene. I finally just ignored her. It was so childish and pathetic…
Don’t get me wrong, I love TJ Maxx. But this Fallon location sure is run by...
Read moreI am not sure how this place has so many 5 star reviews.
It’s clean, it has a lot of stuff… that’s about it.
The clothes are in sections by size, but they are not sorted properly. There were a ton of Small in the XL and vice versa. There were also a lot of Junior sized mixed in with the women’s which can hurt your self confidence thinking you’ve gained 20+ lbs lol.
The kids stuff is so stuffed on the racks that my daughters fingers got pinched between hangers and the clothes were stuck together. Even the staff made a comment that there were too many of the plastic strings holding them together. One outfit had the normal brand tags along with 3 tags for TJ Maxx which is a bit overkill and a waste of plastic. She had to cut it all off for us just to get the clothes separated.
The dressing rooms are clean but the staff was not helpful. She looked very bored and annoyed and just pointed at a room. When we were done she just pointed at the stand to put unwanted clothes and stared into space. Not even a smile. Check out wasn’t much friendlier, just did her job and that was it.
This isn’t necessarily geared towards my rating but the clothing selection was odd. I haven’t seen most of those styles before and anything bigger than a Large looked like something my grandma would wear to the beach, just very odd taste. I’ve been to other TJ Maxx before but never seen such dated clothing before. Maybe...
