We happened to be in farmers branch and I remembered seeing this place on social media so wanted to check it out, but most likely won’t be back due to it being out of the way. The location was a bit random too, in the middle of commercial buildings.
Bathrooms are clean, there’s a step stool for kids, but there’s no transition between the bathroom and the foam tile so my daughter did happen to trip. NBD because toddlers trip all the time, but I think it could be an easy fix so still mentioning it. Nursing area is provided in a small break room with a fridge and microwave and a hot cocoa station. It is small, like others have mentioned, but what makes it feel even smaller is the lighting. I really do think that if the color of the lighting was warmer and brighter, it would help out a lot. The lighting makes it feel kind of dingy inside. I really like the fact that it is a dedicated space for five and under. It was manageable and not chaotic. The one thing I really wish was better was the cleanliness. Everything just seemed like it needed a good wipe down. Personally I would trash the current Lego table that they have. It had spilled liquid and stains and dust all over it, and the lego base plates were bent and didn’t lay flat anyways. I can see why it would be a pain to clean because of all the crevices. So personally, I wouldn’t offer it at all. Plus, they have a wall system, which is much better in my opinion. Management was very nice, so were the staffers. Like I said, I just wish that they were more proactive with cleaning. Stray toys here and there is to be expected, and wasn’t bad, so I didn’t really care about that. But I couldn’t wait to wash our hands afterwards. I also think the broken and crushed ballpit balls should be trashed. They could leave a bin next to it and make a note for parents to put broken or dirty balls in there for management to deal with. I saw a ball in there with some smashed brown thing smeared on it and of course my first thought was poop, my second thought was a smashed cookie but who knows? -Also, I think they should be more strict about their socks policy. There were two women there who still had their shoes on and that left a bad impression on me because obviously that would make the floors harder to clean. If my daughter was still in the crawling stages I would’ve left right when I saw them wearing their shoes. Even their little girl called them out on it. Hope the best for...
Read moreWe just held my daughter’s third birthday party there on June 15th. The place was very aesthetic and had a lot of fun things for the kids to enjoy, but there were a few issues. 1) It was SO hot inside. After an hour of sweating my mom went to the employee up front and mentioned this to her, and that’s when she was told that their AC was broken. This would’ve been nice to know ahead of time, especially given that there were infants in attendance. Not disclosing this information beforehand is honestly unacceptable, especially when Rosie called me the day prior to confirm my party details. 2) The place smelled pretty bad. It wasn’t unbearable but the extremely strong smell from the bathroom spread throughout the entire venue causing the whole place to smell like dirty diapers. 3) My 10 month old baby managed to get ahold of a screw mixed in with some of the toys. 4) The employee on-site was nice but she wasn’t very helpful at all. We held a party at Play Street Museum last year and the party host assigned to our party helped me decorate, helped us stick to a schedule during the party, helped serve cake, etc. Here at Mini Playtime the only thing she helped with was carrying things to the back of the venue because I had asked, and that was it. The kids had fun, but I probably won’t have another...
Read moreThere was an unnecessary situation mentioned in a previous review. However The staff and management staff handled the situation very well. There were two ladies who dropped their kids off on the inside of the facility and went outside to have a cigarette. There was also an infant left alone with no adult supervision inside the building along with “their”other toddlers. The waiver specifically states that kids must be with adult supervision at all times. Seeing as how this facility is for kids and there are Code regulations, after smoking the cigarettes, they decided to come back in and there are other kids there who probably have medical conditions that are unknown to the public however, they did not want to follow the companies guidelines by not Smoking near the facility and coming back and smelling like cigarette smoke so instead of doing the correct thing as to leaving, they decided to cause a unnecessary scene. I applaud the staff for being concerned about the other kids and their safety, we will definitely be back for more playtime at mini playtime Thank you for your...
