Café Olivia is the best cafe I have ever visited in my entire life. It's one of those rare places that makes you stop mid-bite and just say “Wow.” From the moment you walk in, everything feels warm, inviting, and a little bit upscale without trying too hard. The lighting is soft, the decor is clean and modern. Their outdoor area is phenomenal and it includes games, a fire pit, and plenty of seating with current fall decor.
The food? Next level. Every dish that comes out of the kitchen looks like something you’d see on an influencers page. More importantly, it tastes even better than it looks. The flavors are so well thought out it’s almost unreal. The salmon has that perfect crisp on the outside and just melts inside, the steak melt melts in your mouth in the best possible way, and even something as simple as their sweet potato chips feels gourmet. Don't even get me started on the French toast, I can go on for days about that dish. And don’t even think about skipping dessert. Their chocolate chip cookie with their luxury milk is pure heaven. Every bite of every meal feels like the kind of thing you’d expect from a Gordon Ramsey fine dining restaurant in a big city, not a tucked-away café in Addison. You can tell the chef puts real passion into every plate, it’s the kind of cooking that feels personal.
The staffs hospitality is above a 5 star rating level. They’re professional without being stiff, and they actually know the menu. They make smart recommendations, remember little details, and make you feel taken care of from the first sip of their beautiful delicious coffee to the last bite of their Michelin level food. They're the kind of staff where you want to tip 50% because of how amazing their service is.
Café Olivia is the definition of a hidden gem. Everything about it, the food, the service, the atmosphere, it definitely feels Michelin worthy. It’s refined without being pretentious, cozy without being casual, and absolutely one of the best dining experiences you can find in the area. If Addison had a crown jewel of cafe's, Café Olivia...
Read moreI recently visited Café Olivia after spotting it on my InKind app. I originally planned to grab my food to go, but the friendly staff member at the front convinced me to dine in, it’s a pay at the counter and wait for your food type of deal. He gave me a bunch of great recommendations when I was stuck between the salmon and the chicken. I went with the salmon, and it was absolutely amazing perfectly cooked, delicious glaze, and the quinoa and broccolini were a perfect match. Plus, that little lemon wedge for a squeeze of brightness was a nice touch.
Now, if I were rating just the salmon, it’d be a perfect score. But I also ordered a strawberry matcha that unfortunately just tasted like water the flavor was super weak and it really brought my overall impression down. I’m a big strawberry matcha fan and it was soo pretty so I was very sad it was a huge letdown. Especially having a strawberry foam usually that’s an enhanced sweetness.
The pastries were half off so I also tried a pistachio danish looked amazing it had unexpected roasted zucchini? inside definitely a surprise that threw me off. So definitely wasn’t a fan. The ambiance was nice and the staff were super friendly.
Café Olivia is in a great location with plenty of seating, and if you’re going for that miso salmon, you won’t be...
Read moreI love EVERYTHING about this place…the kind and attentive staff, the fresh, locally-sourced food (even their milk is from a local farm!) that tastes AND looks delicious, and the beautifully serene atmosphere that you can’t find often anymore. I love the personal touch of giving guests a complimentary cookie with your drink if you dine in. So fun! Great place to have a meeting or meet a friend. I will definitely be back soon with coworkers, friends and family!! If you’re debating on whether to come try it out, DO IT! You...
