I came to this location on 11/05 to return items I purchased on 10/05, thinking I was still within the 30 day return window (not realizing the return window would close on 11/04 because October is 31 days - oops). When I got to the counter, the woman (possibly the manager?) quickly informed me that they would be unable to process my return, as it was over 30 days. I realized my mistake, and then asked we could still return it for store credit. She plainly (and rudely) stated they would not do store credit either, and offered no further options or solutions - she just stared at me until I packed up my things and walked out of the store.
Confused, I looked online and called Old Navy support. They stated that while the return window is only 30 days, there is typically a 5-day grace period and that they should have been able to return my items, or at the very least, given me store credit. Frustrated, I went to the Troy location (on Coolidge) and explained the situation to the cashier. She immediately offered to help, stated they could definitely give me store credit, and once she inputted my phone number into the system, she stated the system was allowing her to do a full return with a refund. She happily assisted me and apologized that I had such a bad experience at the other location.
I really liked this Old Navy location, as it is local to me and the staff there are usually really nice (especially the cashier with the purple hair - she's been there for years and is so sweet!). However, the treatment by the other cashier / manager was so rude and unnecessary - I shouldn't have had to go to another location to make a simple return. I won't be returning to this location, and will encourage family and friends to...
Read moreWhere do I start? The sale signs on the round racks are very deceiving because the sale only applies to half of the rack. I've been in retail management and customer service for years this is very deceiving to the customer. You excitingly bring your items to the counter only to find that your item is not on sale because it was on the wrong side of the rack. Who does this? I tried to scan the items before I got to the counter but their floor scanners weren't working. Be careful not to get too excited...when you think something is on sale either scan it first or brace yourself when your item scanned by...
Read moreWould be great if they actually stayed open until closing time. Don't expect to come 10 minutes before close and be allowed in. There was no one shopping in the store, just associates tidying up. They looked right at me and then pretended not to see me with my bag. I just wanted to make a quick return, but I guess that's not happening. I used to work retail, I get it, you don't want to be there forever after the store closes. But locking your doors early with no posted change in your operating hours is pretty rude. I'll go to a different...
