H&M is my favorite store. When I found the Farmington location I was so excited and I’m a fairly frequent shopper. However, the last year at least, every time I go in the store something goes wrong with my transaction. I’m either overcharged by $30+, charged for something I didn’t buy, or something I did pay for doesn’t get put in my shopping bag. A couple of days ago I was overcharged by almost $50 and something I bought wasn’t bagged. Prior to that, I bought some pajamas for a new baby and the associate charged multiple times for one pair. When I returned the items I bought and it didn’t come up to the correct total, we went over each item and couldn’t figure out the discrepancy. I described everything I went home with and the couple of things that I did keep, and it still wasn’t adding up. He had charged me for two extra sets of pj’s. When I spoke to the manager about this she told me I would have to wait while she checked the cameras. Almost 45 minutes later she came back and told me she couldn’t check the cameras. What was she doing with this time? It took more than it should have to get her to return the money that was mine in the first place. These are just two examples of many.
I’ve managed a large clothing store before, and I understand things happen sometimes—but when it’s every single time I buy something here, I start to wonder how associates are being trained, who is ensuring that they are properly trained, and how the manager qualified for the job itself. I was hoping this was just a coincidence but after this many problems, I’ll be driving the extra 20 minutes to the Salt Lake location from now on.
Any advice given here would be to double check your receipts when you leave the store. If it happens to me this regularly, I wonder how many others don’t notice the same thing on their...
Read moreThis poor review is more directed toward the staff of this location. While my daughter was shopping I was walking up and down the escalators (he is 2 years old so it’s an easy distraction) and once upstairs he stopped to look at some stuffed animals with my wife as I continued down the escalator again to check on our daughter. He started to fuss so I started walking back up the escalator (opposite direction) so he could see me. While keeping in his line of sight a staff member yelled up at me to stop playing on the escalator. No one was in either one but myself and the staff member that yelled up at me, he was dressed like a customer in green sweats, so naturally at first I just thought he was a customer shopping. After asking him to repeat himself I could then see a staff badge and told him I wasn’t playing but looking at my son. He then said it would break the equipment (as if it couldn’t handle my weight going in the opposite direction…). It became heated, so he called security. Security was very polite and respectful. I’m surprised by the silliness of the situation and how their staff manages the store and the ridiculousness of this staff member in being so unable to read the situation enough to...
Read moreSuper frustrated! I have spent thousands of dollars over the years at H&M. Drove 40 minutes to the Farmington store today. Found some items I’ve been looking at online and I knew there was a sale going on (up to 40% off everything) so I grabbed a few items, but before checking out I had my partner go ask if the online price with the sale would work in store so we didn’t waste our time. The girl working said it would. We went to the checkout and the girl that had spoken to my partner ran off quickly while we went up to another girl at the register. We told her what the other girl had said and she told us it wouldn’t work. We asked why the other girl would tell us it would and she said, “You can ask my manager, she’s right here.” The manager just scowled at us and said, “No.” The girl at the register just stared at us with a mean look until we said, “Fine we will just get them online then,” and then left. I was going to buy a few things, but now I definitely will not be. I actually found other items at a nearby store and was thrilled I went there instead! I will not be returning to that store anytime soon, especially because this was not my first...
