EDITED TO ADD: Stacey, General Manager helped me the following day correct the situation, made things right, and was fantastic to work with. She is the kind of manager that runs a great store.
The store is great..Store Manager Angela is NOT. I called on my way to the store to confirm that they had a twin platform frame in stock. Angela answers the phone and proceeds to tell me that she’s with 3 other people and cannot help me at the moment. She did tell me I could wait but was adamant that was IF she was able to come back to the phone. I told her that was okay and quickly told her what I needed. She said to add the platform bed to the cart online and she could pull it when I got to the store. So great..that would be really helpful..WRONG. I get to the store and proceed to go back to the bed frame aisle to try to locate the bed on my own to help the employees out. I only see a full size frame on the shelf. I then start to walk to the front of the store to try to find help where I see Store Manager Angela standing in the middle of the store talking to someone she presumably knew having a personal conversation. I politely ask if she was who I spoke with on the phone and immediately was greeted with a horrible attitude and awful customer service right in front of the person she was talking to. I told her that I called about the twin platform bed and wondered if she could help me find it because I only saw a full size on the shelf to which I received the response “well I can’t pull it if I don’t have the order.” She also said other things that I cannot recall but they were definitely not polite remarks and belittling. I should add that I was never rude back and responded with short answers to try to diffuse the situation. First, she did not mention to me on the phone that I needed to check out my cart. She told me to simply add to my cart online and she would pull when I got to the store. Assuming maybe so she could see which item I needed when I got to the store because online said I could not pickup until the following day if ordered there. She walks to the aisle and I follow and continues to be hateful. She shows you all have 4 on hand but replies with the response “they are in receiving and I cannot go pull it.” Then tells me to try to take the half of the full size platform home to see if it would work. Clearly , I was very frustrated by this response. I go to checkout and buy the half of the full for $70. Get home and obviously the platform did not fit. Now I will be making a trip tomorrow morning to go back to the store to demand one of the 4 twin platforms in stock. This experience was highly disappointing and a poor outlook on the AtHome store in Turkey Creek. If you go, please avoid Angela at all costs. It is sad when her own employees mentioned how awful she is to deal with while I was checking out. To add those 3 girls were really sweet and great to work with. They suggested I call in the next morning to speak to...
Read moreSo disappointed in this stores employee and policy. Larger Tall with shoulder length blonde hair and rude as rude can be lady employee. I purchased 4 dining room chairs upolstered. And when we got them home my son who weights 125 sat on one chair and the chair came out from under him. The leg broke We tried to fix the leg but, due to improper installation by store it cracked. I asked my husband to take the broken chair back when he walked into the store this blonde lady immediately yelled at my husband and told him that she can not take a broken chair back as a return. Then she yelled at him to go to the back of the line. When he got up to the lady she then proceeded to say that she could not make a return nor could she refund our money. She was pulling every excuse out of a hat to not accept the broken chair. "The chairs are for decorative use only and have a weight limit." This Lady employee said. This information is not posted anywhere that I could see nor did they tell me this at time of purchase. She finally took it back. Gave my husband the money. I now have 3 decrative chairs and still need one more. But, I will never go get a chair at this store again. BUYER BEWARE.... Not easy nor is it a good experience to take items back to this store. And note that the chairs that look like dining room chairs are NOT!!!! Do not buy chairs at this terrible...
Read moreFalse advertising. The entire patio section was on CLEARANCE for 50% off, but at the register it was a different result. The manager came over and said someone could have placed them there by mistake. The tag on them both remarked about fade resistant and outdoor. I declined to pay full price and walked out. After getting outside I wanted to double check myself, the manager was carrying the pillows back to the clearance area and the walkie talkie he was carrying said the customer is going back to the clearance section, they were referring to me. I spoke up and told him I will show you where I got them. Showed him, amid all the signs claiming 50% off and there is the entire collection of seat cushions and pillows of this pattern all there. He points to a photo and says that pattern is shown here. Thanks to that, your competitor two doors down sold me...
