So let me tell you a tale of how this place took me for $220... It started out a friday night when my XO-7 headset went out. I thought, well the best spot to ask a knowledgeable employee would be GameStop. Wrong. I went in an explained that I was looking for an Astro Gaming headset specifically non wireless and one that has a dial knob on the controller for audio control. The manager or team leader or wealth of useless knowledge recommended that this particular headset would be perfect for me. I sit far away from my TV as most people should, I do not play on a monitor or stream to Twitch so its a non issue when it comes to sitting back and enjoying the grind on whatever the flavor of the week is. This person sells me a controller that not only has to be hooked up to the xbox but the cord is like an abysmal 6 foot long. This would have been great if as I said previously, I was streaming or playing on a monitor. But no, I am not. So with his recommendation I purchased this headset for a cool $220. Came home opened the box with a knife not to disrupt the integrity of the box and realized that not only have I been lied to about the setup of this headset but to see a DJ turntable looking device inside that has to be near you ALL THE TIME. I call saturday and spoke to a lady who was very nice and said her manager would have zero issues returning my money and to come back Monday when he would be working. I did and was informed that I will no longer get my money back but they will give me a gift card almost out of pity is how it felt.
This is the last time I will step foot into a GameStop unless this issue is resolved. Have gone nowhere else since I moved here but I am hoping that I might get treated better at their neighboring retail competitors. I hope everyone who reads this will also go to Amazon or Best But (right across the street) as they have never weaseled money outta me like...

Drove over an hour to get there and they had the item but for almost double what it was quoted. My daughter had found something she wanted and was in line with her dad/my husband to check out and after I went out to the car(without the item) and they said while they were waiting one worker asked the other why I had said I was told a different price. They said the worker I had interacted with told the other that "if we tell them one thing to get them there, odds are they just buy it anyways since they need it. If they push it, we just tell them they one we quoted sold before they get here." My husband and daughter called them out on this and didn't buy what they were waiting to check out with and the workers just looked at each other, shrugged, and asked for the next guest (them worker that had asked the question did apologize to them as they were leaving). Shady tactics, would recommend any other place to...
Read moreWent in on Saturday March 5th, about five minutes before close to help a friend pick up a specific item that they called to make sure was there. Person behind the counter, checking out a pair of other customers immediately says "I hope you know what you're looking for. I'm closing in three minutes.". Normally I dislike being one of those customers who comes in before close, but we were there for something specific and weren't going to be milling around browsing. Which we said we had come in for something specific he then responded "Good because I'm not going to stay past ten no matter what.". He acted like he was being inconvenienced by our mere presence. He tried to be friendly when we leaving but was overzealous ensuring we left. As someone who has spent more than two decades in customer service, this was a very unbelievable behavior. Odds of me shopping there again...
