Myself and several of my friends have visited this establishment several times, the service was always horrible but the food made up for it so I continued to go and suggest this establishment to other people for good food but definitely warned them of the horrible service. My best friend and I went to dinner at the end of July and it just so happens that he has a terrible food allergy to red meat. We ordered our food and when his arrived there with sausage in his bag. I kindly explained to our server, Nick, that my friend had a bad food allergy and could not consumed this the way it was prepared. Nick then asked if it would be OK to just remove the sausage and re-boil the bag with everything else. We tried to explain to her that that would not solve the issue that he was really allergic to red meat and he could have adverse affects on his health. Nick took the food into the kitchen and told us that he would have the cooks prepare a new meal for my friend. I just would like to add hear that both him and I were starving at this point, we have been looking forward to this meal all day long. After 10 minutes or so Nick brought out a bag that was exactly what he had suggested they took out the sausage and repealed the bag, The food that was served to my friend was not the same food that was served to me it was watery the seasoning would not stick to anything in the bag and it was quite obvious that the kitchen has done exactly as Nick had suggested. Reluctantly we asked him again to please have it remade completely because it was not safe for him to eat that, another 20 minutes past and the exact same bag of food came out once again. At this point my friend was so hungry and we were both so aggravated that he decided to eat the food and just have emergency preparations in play of needed. I called a couple of days later to speak with a manager regarding a horrible experience that we had had and was told by Joel the "manager" that he would get in touch with the owners immediately and get this situation rectified, he apologized profusely and stated that he understood how serious of a matter this was and that he would get back with me as soon as he had gotten in touch with a manager. Today, after having to call again and request a manager get in touch with me, a woman called me and was EXTREMELY rude, she informed me that all of there food was cooked in the same water and there was no cross contamination because of that reason, I tried to explain to her how serious of an issue that is and she just got to the point of screaming at me, I asked for her name and her title, she wasn't even a manager, she was a server. I told her I would be reporting this establishment to the health department and I did so. This does make me sad because the food is good but risking the lives of my best friend (allergic to red meat) and my boyfriend ( allergic to shellfish) isn't worth it. I wanted to take my boyfriend because they have a chicken option that I thought he would be able to enjoy, unfortunately that is not the case and I will never step foot in this establishment again. I will also inform all of my friends who aren't meat eaters, but will eat fish and the like, how they prepare their food and the risk of cross contamination at this restaurant. I am so disgusted by the way this was handled. Shame on the owners of Juicy Tails, they only care about making money and not...
Read moreOne star is too many for this place. A one star rating gives this place more attention and value than their staff gave my family of 5 for the 30 minutes we waited before walking out hangrily and settling on Logan's Roadhouse down the road. Our experience in 2 words for those who don't want to read the details- disorganized and disrespectful. We followed a couple into the restaurant, where the 7 of us waited a couple of minutes before a waiter, who I mistook for a customer, due to having nothing to indicate he was a staff member, even acknowledged customers had walked in the door. The couple was seated and the waiter didn't return to address us. Another couple minutes passed, and another waiter comes and addresses us. This gentleman tells us a group of 5 is finishing up and it will be 10 minutes. By this time another polite African-American young lady has walked in and is waiting to be addressed, however she was skipped over inf avor of the pushy white young lady who was impatiently standing at the counter. The waiter then addressed a couple who had just walked in the door as opposed to the polite young lady, who had came in not long after the waiter spoke to us. Once she was addressed, she was immediately seated, and she had her food before we decided the wait was not worth our time. Shortly after she was seated, we watched a family of five walk out, and we got excited believing we should be the next ones seated. Without a word to us the wait staff seemingly began to slowly clean that table, then 2 more 4 tops cleared out. Clean up on those began, and 2 more couple's were sat, some looking apologetically at our hangry family, but not at the newly cleaned tables. This wait staff did not seem to do anything with urgency. By this time a family of 11 had came in as well as a man waiting for his significant other, and a family of 4 who was very curious about the wait. We shared with them our experience, which at this point meant we'd waited an extra 15 minutes then told. We were eyeing the 3 clean tables, and expecting to be seated next, but the impatient family of 4 who had walked in not even 3 minutes ago was being seated. They seemed disturbed the restaurant refused to pull up a chair for our family who had been there longest. About then we decided they'd showed us they didn't deserve...
Read moreWhile placing a order the guy that answered the phone had no idea 💡 about the menu item that's posted on your website. He was so relaxed answering the phone I thought I was calling someone's home. The lack of engagement was a red flag to me. He got a lady on the phone but before she came to the phone I over heard them discussing the menu item and I had to instruct him on what to ask her and I'm not even an employee 😂. She was very nice and courteous. Now when I arrived. There was a group of women standing behind the counter with a little baby 🍼 I mean not even a year old and a l told the lady I had a pick up order and gave her my name and she handed me a bag that seemed so light I thought nothing was in it. I signed my receipt and left. Now I'm from New Orleans and I know Cajun food, even takeout and I understand everyone is not going to be able to mimic every dish that we make, but when I tell you the fried shrimp I received were soggy, and had no flavor I was like wow 😳 the fried sweet potatoes were even worse they should have been just mashed because there was not a lick of crisp to them you could mush them with your fingers with next to no effort. Now the juicy sauce that was good but to give someone that many shrimp with one small cup of sauce is ridiculous. I don't know who instructed them to include whip cream as a sauce in the bag but nooooooo 🤢 I don't know if that was intentional or by mistake but whip cream and fried shrimp don't go together on no day in my book. Over all my review of the food was horrible. I didn't even want to finish it. The restaurant experience inside was okay and what made it just okay was walking in just seeing the baby behind the counter was alarming to me because that's not a place for a kid. A cute kid but kind of dangerous especially in a restaurant. Would I go back probably not. The soggy food just turned my taste buds completely off I could have went to McDonald's and spent less for a better quality and I don't frequent McDonald's often. But hey at least I tried it. I'm sure y'all may have better other choices, it just wasn't for me....
