I do not like to leave reviews like this, especially for a store as close to heart Slim Chickens is, however, as a 2 Slims veteran I must not let this go unchecked. For a little context, I worked at slims Chickens Searcy for over 2 years, and during my times there my store received some very prestigious achievements in terms of KDS, Customer service, community dedication, and are skilled were even sent across the country to help lesser store such as this one. First I would like to say, our Jalyne W was an angel. She was polite, she checked up on us, and overall saved this store from a 2 star review. However, there was some behaviors that were simply unacceptable. For starters Jimmy did not, and still not have his shirt tucked in. This is a minor, but a problem nonetheless. We received our food in a very timely manner, and given we came during a quiet period in the store this was to be expected. Given the lack of customers and the simplicity of our orders, I would normally expect top tier food in terms of quality. This was not what we received. My friend ordered tender Mac with no green onion chives, which to her surprise did indeed contain a green onion chive. Worse than this however, my other friend who did indeed want green onion chives, only received 6-12 individual chives. Beyond this, my friend who did not order chives also found several purple bits of lettuce on her tender Mac, to which my expert opinion could only tell me was pieces of coleslaw mix. This is simply unacceptable. This screams to me that even during the low hours of the afternoon, this store has an untidy SSW station that is leading to bits of food to contaminating orders. However, this is not the biggest issue. The biggest dissatisfaction was the absolute lack of fry salt on all of our orders. I will also mention that even though my two friends with the tender macs did not receive fries with their order, they went out of there way to order a side of fries, simply because we know how delicious Slims fries are. So you can imagine our utter disappointment with the lack of the iconic fry seasoning. Now once again, Jalyne W saves the day by checking up on us to see if everything was good. If I could give Jalyne W 5 stars alone, I would. However, for the three orders of fries we received, we were given a comically little amount of fry salt (shown in the image). This was insulting to me, and insulting to the Slims brand, but most of all was embarrassing to this location as a whole. This is a good location that shows lots of potential, but potential is only as prosperous as the motivation of the stores employees, and the QB who gave us the minuscule amount of fry salt and others like him are holding this location back. 2 Stars in general, 3 stars because Jalyne W was here. Read moreWell, I've had my good and bad experiences here, the most recent being today. Today, was a bad one. It wasn't me personally, but one of my co-workers. We had 5 orders, there was a mix up on the location, and my coworker went and picked up at your location. When she went in, she told Vanessa that she had a pickup order that she had just called in. Vanessa replied with "Our phone hasn't even rang in the past 30 minutes" she then said that she was going to talk to another employee, came back, and thats when my coworker figured out that the order had been called in at the wrong location. My coworker then proceeds to ask if she can go ahead and place the orders there. We only have a small amount of time to go on lunch and get back, so she didn't really have a choice to go to any other one. Vanessa acted like it was a huge inconvenience to place the orders for us. I worked in a restaurant for several years, and I know that everyone has bad days, I don't know if she was having a bad day, or whatever, but the way my coworker was treated today, was absolutely uncalled for. A guest in your restaurant shouldn't be treated like they are unwanted... We work for a decent sized company, who has company lunches and have had your food catered to us before, but After today, we will not do catering through you anymore. If it's such an inconvenience to help someone out that made a simple mistake, then we can take our business elsewhere. Read moreA few weeks ago I would have given a very poor rating to this location due to the experience we had last time we went. We have been going to this Slim Chickens for many years and have always loved their food. It is has always been consistently good, with kind staff and a quiet and calming atmosphere. After the experience we had with the staff that day and after we finished eating I filled out the online survey that their staff uses to improve upon their location and I left my contact info in case a member of their management wanted to reach out for more information. I got a call from their manager on duty that night and I explained the situation in full (the online survey only lets you use so many letters), and she was completely understanding and baffled by what happened. She immediately took corrective action to keep the situation from reoccurring as well as offered compensation to make up for the situation. I didn't rate them immediately several weeks ago because we wanted to see what would come of the survey and I have to say, we were impressed and appreciative of the professionalism and conflict resolution the management has at this location.
