DICK'S Sporting Goods — Local services in Federal Way

I went to this store today to buy a specific item, found it by myself after about 20 minutes with no help from any employees (because there were none to be found), went up to the registers where two lanes were open and I knew this because their lights were on. One lady was already helping someone so I walked right up to the other one where an older lady named Theresa stood there. I said hello and put down my item and as soon as she saw me walking up to her she VERY obviously rolled her eyes at me. She did not say hello back or any other greeting for that matter. She went on for about a minute asking me if I'd like to sign up for a store card. I said no because I rarely shop there. She told me my total and I slid my card. She then THREW my receipt at me which landed on the counter and then THREW the bag at me with the item that I bought which came out to $50. I just stood there absolutely flabbergasted and she just walked away without another word. TERRIBLE STORE, TERRIBLE SERVICE. You better believe I'm going to tell this story to everyone I know to make sure nobody goes...

So I am a little late on this review... but I was reading the weekly ad and notice a bike sale! I bought a bike for my nephew last summer. First, the manager on duty was extremely helpful! The original bike I had wanted was I stock but did not have the breaks attached for some reason. So I decided to chose another bike. She was able to check the back and found it, however, it was in a box. She told me she could have it put together within the hour! She then had her “bike guy” (I believe he knows who he is because she said he was the go-to guy!) put together right then and there while I did some other shopping. When I came back, the bike was ready to go! He did an amazing job!!! Customer service like this doesn’t happen too often anymore and it is a shame. I regret to this day not taking the customer survey at the end of the receipt, as I felt my service when above and beyond what has become the new normal. Dick’s Sporting goods in Federal Way has been one of my favorite...

I called this morning to find out about a tennis racket that had been brought in for re-stringing. Put through to that department, the phone rang and range and rang... after another hold, the associate who picked up my initial call says "Hello and thanks for calling Dick's Sporting Goods" ... yeah, just me again trying to get through to the tennis desk. "Please hold".

Ring...ring..ring..."Hello, thank you for calling Dick's Sporting Goods".. yeah, I called a moment ago and was trying to get ahold of the tennis dept. "Okay, let me check to see who's there". Ring...ring...ring..ring.

"Hello, thank you for calling Dick's Sporting Goods". Okay, this is my third time calling. I'm trying to reach the tennis dept. "Oh, what's your name and we'll look it up" ... after a pause, I'm put on hold. After a few minutes, a new voice picks up-

"Thank you for calling Dick's Sporting Goods"
