If you can get over the rude front desk staff, ignore the loads of construction, find a parking spot, survive the elevator that sounds like an old-timey freight lift, and finally find your unmarked room (really, our room did not have a number on it!)âŚ
Then, you will arrive at your completely average Holiday Inn room, full of aesthetically pleasing light fixtures, odd placement choices for towels and toilet paper, and scratches on every surface.
Edit: you will not even believe what happened hours into this stay. As the night went on, we found A) our room door doesnât close all the way, B) it doesnât lock with the deadbolt, C) stains on the towels, and finally D) the fire alarm goes off at 8 PM three times. Staff member told us it was a test, but the fire department didnât know of any. Their fire alarm systems had to be shut off, meaning that legally, they had to have someone walk up and down halls every fifteen minutes to check for fires now.
We fought with the front desk clerk to give us a refund. He gave us the number of a manager. That phone number went right to the front desk, back to him. He has now lied twice.
He says he does not have the authority to give us a refund. We just want to talk to the manager so we can make that not his problem. He said the manager would be in next morning. We were not going to sleep in a hotel that had the potential to be constantly alarming or unsafe. I wouldnât trust this clerk, clearly alone, to buy up and down halls of 8 floors all night long, nor do I trust him to actually know the alarms are off or functioning.
After 3 minutes of pleading for the managers numbers, he asks us our room number, stares at the computer, clicks a button or two, and issues us a refund, even though he said he couldnât. Three lies.
Donât stay here. Other guests have told us theyâve been under construction for over a year. These issues are evident of a cheap franchisee that cannot provide proper staff, service,...
Read moreMy recent stay at Holiday Inn in Federal way. Our stay was an absolute delight from start to finish. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I knew I was in for a memorable experience. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and genuine hospitality, setting the tone for a fantastic stay.
The room was spacious, well-appointed, and immaculately clean. The attention to detail in the room's design and amenities was impressive. The plush bedding ensured a restful night's sleep, and the stunning city view from my window was a delightful bonus.
What truly sets Holiday Inn apart is its outstanding service. The staff went above and beyond to cater to my needs, making me feel like a valued guest throughout my stay. They were quick to accommodate any requests, and their knowledge of the area helped me make the most of my visit to the city.
The hotel's breakfast options were top-notch with many choices to choose from. My partner and I have very different eating habits as I am a vegan and she is just picky, but we both were satisfied with the breakfast. The hotel is located next to lots of restaurants with in walking distance so you can find delectable dishes with diverse menus that catered to all tastes. The Holiday inn provided easy access to local attractions, shopping, and dining, making it the perfect base for exploring the area.
The hotel's amenities were equally impressive. The fitness center was well-equipped, and the pool area offered a pampering experience that left me feeling rejuvenated.
I can't say enough good things about my stay at The Holiday Inn. The entire experience exceeded my expectations, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Federal Way. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, or attending a wedding this hotel is a five-star choice that delivers on every level. I can't...
Read moreThe customer service at this hotel is an absolute joke, we stayed here this weekend and they were re-painting the lines on the parking lot (they did not mention anything or that we will have a hard time finding a parking spot before we booked on the phone) and decided to do 3/4 of the parking lot at a time making it so there was no parking spots for us to park. We ended up having to park almost a half a mile away and carry our 2 toddlers in the POURING rain all the way to our room. THEN they end up charging us for the room alone and then the room with the $50 holding fee for incidentals so over $500, I called to talk to someone about it and had the worst women I have ever experienced in customer service who wouldnât even let me finish a sentence with out interrupting me saying she canât do anything because on her end it says we were charged only once. Do better and train your people handling the phones, literally the face of your hotel to be more respectful of people and if you are going to do your parking lots leaving no parking spots for anyone SAY SOMETHING BEFORE LETTING SOMEONE BOOK, we 1000% would have booked somewhere else because that was ridiculous to have to park so far to get into your hotel. All around a clown circus in this place, if I could give negative stars I would, only good thing was the breakfast and the breakfast staff, she...
