ALDI — Local services in Fenton

First trip to Aldi's in years. The Fenton store has recently been updated.

Convenient parking. Clean and appealing entrance.

A quarter is required to unlock a shopping cart, which is returned when the cart is re-secured.

My shopping list was prepared from a recent article on Facebook. The article recommended items that had high approval from Aldi shoppers.

The produce section seemed limited but adequate.

The selection of bread looked mouthwatering! I've already tried the powdered doughnuts, and they have my approval.

The meat looked fresh but had a very limited selection. I did not find the Thomas Farms Fresh Seasoned Lamb Sirloin Filet or Wahlburgers Fresh Gourmet Blend Angus Beef Burgers.

Also, I did not find Appetitos Soft Pretzels, Belmont Cookies & Creme Dessert Bars, or Barq' Frozen Rootbeer Float Squeezies as were recomended by the Facebook article.

The isles were wide, clean, and without clutter.

Oh, for the checkout! There was one lane open with a cashier. The checkout did move quickly. The other option is Self Checkout. It is stressful to me to have a cart full of groceries struggling with a scanner.

Remember to bring your own bags. The cashier informed me that "The Truck" arrives on Wednesdays. There are more selections after the truck has been unloaded.

I visited your store while on vacation to help my daughter stock up on groceries. I am from Michigan and have shopped Aldi's there..love it and the savings. However my visit to your store was very disappointing. While shopping, a worker by the name April began cleaning the floors with a floor machine and was coming up behind people saying "excuse me"! And would wait until you moved out of her way. She was very rude ...her body language and face displayed an attitude that she hated her job and people. I tried stopping her at another time to ask where I could find a food item and she ignored me at first, then stopped with a disgusted look on her face and pointed to the corner of the store and mumbled under her breath and moved on. I eventually found this item on my own. She clearly did not want to be bothered. Also my grandbaby was in the store while she was running this machine probably with chemicals. I understand waiting on the public can be trying at times....I do it myself as a profession. I feel she may need some more training in the "keep it professional" area. So...

If I could I would give the location a negative by far the worst Aldo I've been to. The lady the was working the register was rude my husband and I were in Saturday and I found the wired 3 shelves I was looking for and the price under them said 9.99 when we came up to the register she said it was 14.99 so I told her that it said 9.99 no where over there did it say 14.99 she called another worker to go check and that one said there is something for 9.99 and something for 12.99 she said no check again. So I went back there and showed her where it said 9.99 and she said that's for the plastic ones. I asked her were does it say 14.99 there was three tags for 9.99. Which ever store I've been in and they has a price mixhap I always got hone red that price. But anyways my husband said I dont want it its not my fault that no where over there does it say 14.99.
