Bethany Bike Shop — Local services in Fenwick Island

Similar to Stephen Hake in 2022 and Brandon B. in 2017, my bike was not repaired properly and in my case damaged by this shop. I brought my Trek 4000 in for repairs. The next morning they called to say bike was ready. After I test drove it, I realized front derailer was not fully operational. Gear 1 & 2 great. Gear 3 not working. Apparently they never test drove the bike, but yet it was ready. I left it there asking for adjustment to derailer. Before I could get a ride home, I caught a non-repairman (front desk guy) with a wrench in his hand and a broken front derailer gear shifter parts in his hand/on the floor. He took it apart and could not get it back together, then denied it, attacked me personally accusing me of not knowing how to operate a bicycle then claiming the bike was too old. Yes circa 1997, but rarely ridden and stored in dry shed/garage since purchase. If I could give 0 stars I would. I would not recommend thus shop for...

Was on vacation in Bethany and visited here mid-day with a friend to get his flat rear tire repaired. The person in the store said that it would take at least a day to do so since they had others ahead of us. There were no other customers in the store (although we crossed paths with someone entering) nor anyone else working there. We decided to leave and find another store. As we were getting in the car, the person we passed said he could repair the flat in 5 minutes and proceeded to do so! He even put air in the front tire and gave some riding maintenance advice too!!! A five star experience! All kudos go to Joe Cole from start to finish and beyond. We are newbies to e-bikes and were immediately impressed by the patience and care to ensure that we were safe, comfortable and fitted with the best bike for us. We landed on two Velotric Discovery 2, which after a couple of weeks, are indeed perfect. The bikes needed to be ordered and assembled. Joe was in constant contact with us along the way and, when ready, he delivered them to our home and provided another orientation for their use.
